That actress friend I mentioned who was a lefty but pushed center? Sometimes she'll just go off on an anti-Trump rant on her facebook page and I'll ask her what's up and she'll tell me how lots of other actors will start messaging her that they're not seeing her be actively anti-trump, and saying shit like, "I hope you're not supporting him now..." and she gets terrified of being ostracised (I don't hold it against people who aren't as strong as me when it comes to that shit.
This seems to be the case for anyone who lives in heavy left-leaning areas. An acquaintance of mine lives in such a place and makes the usual social media posts that virtue signal leftist talking points. Privately, however, their views are more center/right-leaning but can't be expressed publicly due to cancel culture and/or retaliatory violence.

Can anyone with a brain explain the tariffs war going on, doesn’t it push more countries to work with china?
It all depends. Chinese goods may be cheaper, but the safety and quality of them is often questionable at best. Any country who would turn to Chinese goods during a tariff war is making it clear quality matters less than quality - in other words, you get what you pay for.

If he succeeds he will achieve recognition only few other Presidents can match but if he fails he could be vilified for ages to come.
As a business man, Trump probably knows that taking big risks either pays off with huge benefits/dividends or fails in the most epic of proportions. Irregardless, he's not one to back down from a challenge. That said, I agree that he needs to have some sort of big success this term.

'Aid' can be anything. It could be money to feed starving Africans and putting them on courses to learn Javascript. It could also be used to fund the 'enlightenment' of the Poles on the wonders of trannies and convince the Baltics to accept blacks.
Most people don't mind humanitarian aid in the truest sense of the word or foreign aid that has some sort of tangible benefit. However, too much of our foreign aid is going towards questionable items such as the money for condoms in Gaza and money with no specific purpose that ends up being spent on non-essential items or pocketed by a corrupt bureaucrat. I don't think it's unreasonable to make sure that any foreign aid doled out by the US is actually being spent as intended and has as little wasteful spending in it as possible. That's not xenophobic; that's being a good steward with money.

They also don't know that the governments in Africa just keep the money for themselves. How do they not wonder why despite getting money for decades these countries still have a shit infrastructure and their people wear hand me downs from other countries.
I don't know if they still do the articles, but Reader's Digest used to have periodic updates on the 10 worst dictators in the world. If I recall the older articles correctly, roughly half of the top 10 came from Africa and pretty much all of them pocketed aid intended to help the destitute citizens and instead used it to enrich themselves and/or their cronies. Sadly, this has been true for a good 20-30 years or more.

This will hit them right where it hurts them - their wallets.

The seething will be biblical.
this isent even the best part

They have spent YEARS activley working to turn their base into reactionary, short sighted fools that dont have attention span for to much so they dont ask to many hard questions and have an easy to understand "bad guy" and they get to feel like the "good guy"

Thats what we are all getting to see in real time is that Trumps second victory forever broke that "social contract" the democrats had with their base. With a second win we are now certain beyond any doubt that a majority of Americans disagree with the establishment liberal reform movement and as such it fundamentally breaks the "good guy bad guy" narrative.

Its a powerful reminder the VAST amounts of both left and right people arent the extreme and unreasonable people you see on the internet and TV and the majority of those on the left for the last 8 years are just the slightly center left or right version of the Im just tryna grill meme and dont have well developed critical thinking skills so they have fallen for the very easy narrative that voting for progress makes them good and thats about as far as they wanna think about it.

Now we are at the point where Im just speculating but it very much seems to me that after seeing how much of the country disagreed with that has really hurt these people feelings in a way that makes them just not wanna care about politics anymore beacuse they feel cheated by their first choice and dont have enough self reflection to make the jump to informed and active democratic participation but at this point we have to take whatever wins we can get.

You have to understand I watch these breifings and press confrences of all sides for a good little while now, hell I watch whole senate hearings and Im not talking about the intresting ones

Ive never, and I mean never seen the old gaurd and real power brokers in DC get on these microphones and almost seem to be BEGGING their consituents to give a shit about the honestly, legallly dubious, power grab going on IN REAL TIME.

Trump is essentally working with so much rapid and consistent suceess they almost cant bitch fast enough and are in some ways kinda just throwing up their hands.

With my own two ears and own two eyes I heard and witnessed all 3 of the top democratic congressional leaders say

"WE ARE BEING LOCKED OUT OF SPENDING RIGHT NOW"

Like they want the viewer to do somthing about it, or somthing its absloutly WILD. its history in the absloute making and im fairley certian if this keeps up trump will pottentially be able to bypass congress for EVERYTHING, we arent governing by concensus anymore and we are all damn happy about it

We genuinlly have a Roman Dicator that has been elevated above the red tape in the time of crisis to right the ship of state at the last moment before total ruin and collapse and the senators are HOWLING MAD that the citizens are not just meekly submitting BUT OPENLEY PRAISING THEIR ENTIRE POWER STRUTURE BEING INSTATUTIONALLY SIDESTEPPED.

Joint Task forces are a great way for the US military to enter the other country on the border.

If done right and pushed right, you could end up with it being "totally normal" that the US Army regularly operates up to 50 miles into Mexico and Canada.

In a few years people will even forget that originally they'd be traveling with local troops.

Bet you trumptards are feeling stupid now :story:

He already rolled back the tariffs and only got every single thing he asked for, fell for it again award :smug:
