A friend of mine who is about to no longer work for a federal agency genuinely thinks that the President has no statutory authority over agencies. He's absolutely buttblasted by events and shrieking on LinkedIn constantly about how illegal this is. I'd say in general, most federal employees genuinely don't understand what it means for all executive authority to belong to the President.

The Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, & Transportation has put out a report detailing their findings on DEI funding for scientific research.
The report shows that, under the Biden-Harris administration, the amount of funding dedicated to DEI studies by the National Science Foundation (NSF) ballooned from $14.3 million (0.29% of annual funding) to $289.6 million (27.21% of annual funding). It also creates recommendations to immediately end all DEI funding, and helpfully gives a list of keywords to sniff out this useless bullshit.

They record their crimes, they take pictures of them making the signs, they have their phones on them when they black bloc.
They don't realise that what has saved them thus far, is big tech blocking, wasting time and refusing to hand over details. The bureaucrats and activist DAs getting in the way.
The DNC keeping Trump occupied with Russiagate and talking points. All the dem senators and mayors blocking and making grand press about how they will oppose Trump.
Trump did not have the political clout to deal with them last time. Now he does. He has already shoved a knife in to their fundraising for activists. He has fired most of the malicious compliance assholes.
He has big tech backing him up at best and at worse not intervening on behalf of the left.
Reddit would not have caved and locked that sub and scrubbed the posts, if they were certain that Trump was in 2016 mode.

Last minute edit: To actually elaborate even further on this - I don't think any previous group of leftists was ever this openly dumb and brazen and outwardly freakish and immediately aggressive and unlikable in precedented history.
