I think they wanted a chunk of that massive Baldur's Gate 3 audience so they made Henry a playersexual even though it doesn't make sense with a character who has an established background. You should expect to see every RPG dev trying to do the same since the gaming industry is like Hollywood and filled with trend whores. Hans Capon so far has been just a guy speaking of banging wenches, being a noble and drinking booze, so how in the end he would turn out to be the big gay love interest is kind of an odd choice and goes against his character imho, though I haven't gotten that far yet to see if anything changes.

Perhaps I am going against the grain here, but I really don't see anything wrong with whatever is in the game so far, the only thing I am annoyed with is that Vavra has been so vague and unwilling to just speak his piece freely until a few weeks before release, dude really seems scared of kicking the hornets nest on either side of the culture war.

To each his own and I can only be happy that this game dunks on DA: Troonguard's release a few months back.

The jank is interesting this time. For some reason DLSS on 3840x2160 res leads to recurrent flickering with a 4080. Any other resolution or disabling DLSS appears fine with good graphics in game and smooth FPS. I can fully believe it crashes and works weird for other people.

I think it'll stop at 170k personally. It appears to be slowing down. Edit: The game also had 150k followers (Wishlisted?) and add on profiles of people who keep their lists private, it still might not break 200k.

Might be premature but the player count is beginning to decline from its peak. It might rise again in a few hours perhaps, or it'll hit 160k over the weekend. I still don't think it'll break 200k today.

Despite my gleeful aggro, I do think and hope the game is good. I loved the first game and despite clowning on vavra in a personal way, I do think half of all this is you must have gay darkie worship in a AAA game by law. Traitors are worse than enemies so I'll pirate it.

People shocked at the success I doubted from the beginning, the first was a sleeper hit and made a strong impression on people. For the second game, their marketing has been excellent before and after the leaks, and the market is highly primed for medievalism. Manor lords and those various medieval craft-build-survive games are popular and despite being lame and gay modern DND and BSG3 does inspires a similar immersive desire and gamefeel. Which also probably leads to why they think going halfway diverse and homo isn't a bad play if the foundation is good.

So far, I am enjoying the game and I have a steady framerate at 60 fps on my 4070.
No crashes yet and I did chuckle when I found the poetry bros who call Henry Enrico, to his annoyance.
I also found the Gypsies camp.
The facial animations are a huge step up from the previous game and the combs has become a bit more simpleFy for the better.
