Trump met with Bibi before the election and some time(s) after that. I also think Bibi was put on the spot in terms of Trump's vision for Gaza. The one factor I think that plays into this is Bibi's support in Israel which I hear is rocky. If Trump wants to get this done, he should do it while Bibi is in office and he can implicitly offer Bibi a potentially better legacy if a deal is made.
