6-8 months ago, this place would have exploded with rage at the suggestion of Trump bending the knee and dawning a skullcap in service of the Jews. Yet here we are.

Most of us weren't in comas from 2016-2020, so the fact Trump isn't taking policy advice from Mike Enoch didn't catch us off guard.

Apparently Trump is going to try and get a new Iran deal.

It makes sense to lay the groundwork for it now. Ali Khamenei, the leader of Iran, is currently 85 years old an in poor health. His son is the likely candidate to replace him and may be open to a major directional shift for Iran. If Israel just so happens to assassinate any hardliners in the Iranian administration between now and whatever Khamenei dies while leaving more moderate individuals alive, I think it's safe to assume that this is the plan.

You'd think after decades of Jews bombing them, ripping them from their homes, and all sorts of Israeli fuckery, the Palestinians would've self-deported to one of the many Muslim nations that neighbor Israel.

No one else wants them. Egypt built a border wall along the border with Gaza to keep Palestinians from fleeing into Egypt. Every country that's taken in Palestinians in the past has had them cause nothing but problems with them. Country's pushing back against this move by Trump are doing so because he wants them to take in Palestinians while rebuilding occurs in Gaza and they don't want those people.

Trump's plan seems to be just getting right to work with a ton of thing ordered to be done. The quantity and the fact that he's actually makes moves instead of getting bogged down in planning meetings and committees, has left them too off balanced to fight back for a while and by the time they get their bearings and have a plan, Trump's put up another half dozen things that they are against. Pair that with the disruption of things like USAID and other government bodies getting slimmed down, they can't act fast enough.

I think the USAID is the one thing they'll be focused on for the next few weeks, on top of DOGE. He's been rapid firing a lot of these changes that it feels like we're months ahead into his presidency. But then you realize this is just Week 3.

It’s very weird but I feel like I can wait and see what’s really going on. This one to me at least came out of nowhere, and I like how uncomfortable and queasy Netanyahu looked when he said it, almost like he didn’t know it was coming, or thought he’d wriggled out of something and it turns out he hadn’t. Trump’s earned enough goodwill with me that I can give him a few months to cook.

I think (or at least hope) that Trump is bluffing, like he did with Greenland. He often backpedals after saying something ultra-provocative to get the other parties to negotiate.
