I saw the last installment of RvB, Burnie's attempt to give his brainchild machinima a proper sendoff, and it was frankly terrible. I loved that show, btw. At its best, RvB was the funniest thing going.

So one of two things is going on with rebooted Rooster Teeth:

  1. Burnie just can't let it die for sentimental reasons. This is bound to fail. Business is business and sentiment has no place in it; or
  2. Burnie has a great idea for a fresh, new, and exciting web-based series or film project and he wants to use his creative reputation and Rooster Teeth's name recognition as the means by which he can make and promote it.

If Burnie doesn't have a great, non-Woke idea driving this, then it won't work and Rooster Teeth dies again.

EDIT: Corrected misspelled name.

They've also probably put cancerous shit in Camp Camp to make up for its "problematic" elements too
They did that actually in its last season, IIRC (since I had no hope that season will be good) a lot of the va’s got replaced, they had dolf’s design change that only a tumblr user could love (believe me I know his old design was controversial but god the new one isn’t better), had an episode where someone questions their gender.

While I do agree that the previous seasons of camp camp wouldn’t fly at all today but they lowkey removed what appealed to people in the first place.

In a big fuck you all to the haters, Rooster Teeth is back.

Hiya.

Almost one year ago, we were all saddened to learn that Rooster Teeth would be shutting its doors. Today, I am very happy to say that I have completed an acquisition of the Rooster Teeth brand and many of its remaining properties.

The details of all this would be too much to communicate in a letter on a website, so please tune in to the February 5 episode of the Morning Somewhere podcast below if you want to find out more. Or you can check out the press release.

There is a lot of work to do around here before our re-launch. In the meantime, I hope that you will join me in welcoming back a brand that has been so important to so many people for so many years.

Stay tuned. More to come.

Christ, they can't even be original in their comeback announcement OR discret as to how much they're putting money into this. Even if they're getting a "fresh" start on this, were they just oblivious to how tainted the name has become?

What made Rooster Teeth worthwhile were the personalities involved, and nearly all of them have turned into obnoxious assholes. Unless Burnie finds suitable replacements (extremely unlikely), then I expect this to go the route of the G4 revival and die after a year.
Also, how strong is the appetite for just watching other people play video games?

It may be a thing that kinda came and went, is anyone out there really clamoring for it?

I have no idea because I'm not much of a gamer, but, was what worked in 2015 going to work today?

Everything has a lifetime, even media formats....

Unless you are Chuggaaconroy—though his views had been declining long before Bigfoot Transgender Ginger canceled him for roleplaying dumb shit on edgy-era internet with a girl who has already been doxxed on this site—you should be playing indie horror games. Playing family-only games is completely dead in the water.

Gen:LOCK was already hated and memed on for being garbage even during the trannyloving peak. And Camp Camp's relevance got strangled when they forced it behind a paywall. They've also probably put cancerous shit in Camp Camp to make up for its "problematic" elements too (one kid's whole purpose is to be a walking Hitler joke, another kid's real name is Gaylord, there's an episode dedicated to David dating a hoodrat and facing the consequences, etc).

Max would 100% call the remaining RT fanbase niggers and faggots.
The best thing about the latter seasons of CC were the outro-raps. I ain't Bossman or Ralph, but I enjoy some black people tunes from time to time. But yea, that series would have to be tuned down.
Also, wasn't there that Nomad series as well or am I mixing up e-celeb channels?

Can we get a new poll on how long this thing goes before the plug gets pulled?
I'm trying to figure out how to make a new pole but a lot of tools used to modify an OP are for some reason not visible to me. It's also why @Null went and changed the title to "the company is now dead".

If you see this, Null, call me a tard and feel free to point out where to access the editing tools.
