I don't necessarily buy this. I think it's just entropy. I think they just have nobody to replace them. There's only so many times you can treat your puppets like absolute garbage before you scare them away. I think they've had an incredibly hard time replacing their loyal puppets as time has claimed them. I'm late to this so maybe this has been addressed but I wanted to say something about the reddit death threats - yeah people shouldn't do that but they been doing it and no one ever cared. I guess it's good that people are finally getting reined in but the two tier internet justice is not going to make people happy. You cannot be female on the internet with any kind of profile and not receive a constant stream of threat of violence. Where I part company with other radfems is I think some of the more cartoony threats are just the price of existing in public in a space that protects anonymous free speech, and people need to grow thicker skins, but if the same standards don't apply to everyone.... welp.
