I'll go out on a limb (;)) and sort of defend tree research. If it's someone who can release a federal study that calls California retarded for not clearing brush than I'd say that's a decent use. If it's someone researching an invasive species from another country killing a shit ton of trees or fucking with the lumber industry than that's also pretty good use of tax dollars. Could even be something to prove that some shithole megacorp is actively dumping waste in some forest preserve and lying about it than I like that too. A lot of stupid shit is done in the name of environmentalism but it's not necessarily a bad thing and I consider not losing trees and forests a public good.

On the other hand if it's someone researching why black people don't have any trees in their neighborhood and why that's my fucking problem than OUT SHE GOES!

I would also be happy with my tax dollars going into a research project to eradicate the Asian long-horned beetle. Fuck those things.

I have an account that gets MoveOn movement emails, keep your friends close your enemies closer ya know? You have to get a load of their most recent email included below,

HIGHLY recommend at least glancing over it, they are losing it

Dear MoveOn member,

We are in an overwhelming crisis. After just over two weeks in office, the Trump administration has unleashed wave after wave of catastrophic attacks—even going so far as cutting off critical funding for tens of millions of Americans in the form of WIC, SNAP, Head Start, and children's school programs. All the while handing over our government to the richest man on earth, Elon Musk.

This isn't business as usual—this administration is rapidly consolidating and exercising power in egregious ways, testing the limits of how much they can get away with.

It's time for Democrats to stick together, throw out the usual playbook, and do everything in their power to stop Trump's assaults. Will you add your name to the petition to show Democrats that we need and want them to step up?

Democrats need to hear from us—their constituents and their voters. If enough of us sign this petition, it'll send a clear signal that we're counting on them to recognize the gravity of the situation and step up, and that we'll be right there fighting alongside them when they do.

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been a strong and vocal opponent of Trump and Republicans, and Senator Brian Schatz just pledged to use a procedural motion to halt nominees.1,2 And there are more hopeful signs, like the dozens of Democrats who rallied with grassroots groups outside the Treasury Department this week. But we need more than a few leaders speaking out and blocking Trump's agenda. Halting this onslaught of attacks requires a principled and unified opposition that will take action to address the crisis at hand.

Add your name to the petition and urge Democrats to use every tool at their disposal to interfere, disrupt, delay, and block Trump's dangerous agenda.

After just two weeks in office, the Trump administration is rapidly consolidating power in unprecedented ways. Add your name to tell Democrats to step up and oppose his agenda with every tool at their disposal!
Donald Trump has been enacting a devastating agenda at lightning speed—from signing dozens of executive orders on his first day in office to his recent brazen attempt to freeze all federal spending. This has real impacts on people in the U.S. and globally—disrupting public services, eroding infrastructure and safety nets, and impacting jobs.

Yet, the response from most Democratic elected officials hasn't been enough to address the dire situation. This isn't just a moment to vote down some nominees—it is an occasion that demands outspoken leadership. But it can't be just a few voices. And we can't tweet our way out of this. We are in need of a unified, principled opposition that takes bold action to meet the crisis at hand.

If Democrats don't step up and use their power to block Trump's agenda, this unprecedented consolidation of power will go unchecked. Meanwhile, children, families, schools, and communities will continue to deal with the impacts of Trump's actions. Add your name to the petition to call on Democrats to treat Trump's agenda like the crisis that it is and use their power to stop it.

Here are just a few things that Democrats in the Senate can do to stop or slow down Trump's agenda:

  • Deny a Quorum: If Republicans don’t have 51 votes in the chamber, Democrats can walk out and shut down Senate business entirely.
  • Block Unanimous Consent: Object to every procedural shortcut, forcing Republicans to take the longest possible route for every step of confirming Trump's nominees.
  • Max Out Debate Time: Use all 30 hours of debate on Cabinet nominees to run out the clock.
  • Delay and Disrupt: Force roll-call votes, quorum calls, and procedural delays to slow everything down.
  • Blanket Opposition: Democrats cannot continue to vote for Trump's other nominees, helping to install more MAGA loyalists into powerful positions in the federal government while this power grab continues.
  • No Business as Usual: This is a constitutional crisis. Democrats must abandon the old rules and fight with everything they have.

Time is running out. Everyday people are counting on Democrats to use every tool they can to slow down or stop the Trump agenda. If Trump and his administration see that they can easily push through an agenda this toxic, there's no telling what they'll attempt down the road. And Democrats need to hear that they'll have our appreciation if they unite and forcefully oppose the administration's agenda.

Click here to sign the petition demanding Democrats stop treating this crisis as business as usual—and send to three friends to help spread the word.

Thanks for all you do.

Kamala's full 60 Minutes interview was released.

View attachment 6946031
I can't watch it. It's not even that I won't.
I've tried to watch 10 minutes of it but every time she opens her mouth my brain immediately disengages. I've tried multiple times. I can't recall a single fucking thing she said even a minute after I watched it. I have some sort of anti-Kamala firewall. I'm not even joking.

Then give tree research to the Department of Agriculture. Trees are a valuable, renewable resource. Lots of tree farms out there.

On a pertinent note I'm almost impressed that all their eggs truly were in one basket and it was that fucking easy to basically turn a globalist hydra into a limbless nugget. Especially considering they did the financial version of hiding everything incriminating in the "Homework" folder on the desktop and it worked for way longer than it should have.

And up until recently, they were bragging about their exploits. They had judges, entire courts in their favor.

THEY WERE BRAGGING THE WHOLE TIME. LOOK AT THIS ARTICLE.

But now that Trump got them all by the balls, he'd better not show any mercy to them.

I seriously want the people who ran USAID to be jailed, but that would mean even more tax payer money wasted.
Instead, send them to the corn fields. So that this year's crops will be bountiful...
We may not have mesoamerican pyramids to go aztec mode on so that the corn may grow but the Cahokia mound just outside St. Louis probably served the same purpose back when it was the heart of the biggest city in the Mississippi culture.

I think you are being a bit optimistic. But It does also sort of make sense to shove it all into something like USAID. It's the sort of shit a milquetoast rhino aligned republican would never dig into anyway because it sounds too gay and lame to bother investigating so the petty stuff of the middle managers all got pushed through USAIDS. But I guarantee there is stuff in the DoD and other places that's just as bad if not worse.

meh I would disagree here

USAID is probably just the tip of the iceberg of corruption.

We now know the FDA was paying out million to news companies since 2020. They have the receipts. Why is the FDA paying Left Media companies million of dollars each year?

I'm honestly worried that Musk may be killed. He's digging in to the very bedrock of the deep state and it's masters. He's messing with billions of dollars in graft and corruption. by people in the highest echelons of western society,

Richest man in the world or not his life isn't worth a damn if it's endangering their wealth funds or even their freedom. Do you think Trump would hesitate to prosecute if he had the evidence that say the Pelosi's were grafting? The Clinton's? The Obama's? Not to mention the real behind the scenes powers whose names are hidden and protected due to their influence in Washington?

yah...Musk is in real danger.

Hydra might have 8 heads, but it only has 1 body.
