I know Temu is a shit site, but it's quite literally the only place you can buy certain items (In my case, microneedle cartridges because the stupid FDA forced USA sellers to stop selling them). Are these new shipping fees from China going to stick around? Trying to decide if I should stock up now before things get worse or if I can just wait it out.
I think they will. Get em now.

Trump clarifies Gaza, calls Chuck Schumer a Palestinian

Israel's defense minister released this statement

I have instructed the IDF to prepare a plan that will allow any resident of Gaza who wishes to leave to do so, to any country willing to receive them.

Hamas has used the residents of Gaza as human shields, built its terror infrastructure in the heart of the civilian population, and now holds them hostage—extorting money from them through the humanitarian aid system and preventing their departure from Gaza.

The plan will include exit options via land crossings, as well as special arrangements for departure by sea and air.

Countries such as Spain, Ireland, Norway, and others, which have falsely accused Israel over its actions in Gaza, are legally obligated to allow Gazans to enter their territory. Their hypocrisy will be exposed if they refuse. Meanwhile, countries like Canada, which has a structured immigration program, have previously expressed willingness to take in residents from Gaza.

The people of Gaza should have the right to freedom of movement and migration, as is customary everywhere in the world.

I welcome President @realDonaldTrump bold initiative, which can create extensive opportunities for those in Gaza who wish to leave, assist them in resettling in host countries, and support long-term reconstruction efforts in a demilitarized, threat-free Gaza after Hamas—an effort that will take many years.

Spain has already refused to take in any Palestinians

We might get total banker death if this is true. People are saying the banks have USAID like funds that are being used for more stupid lefty causes.

At this point people need to feel consequences of their actions, make feds and politicians afraid of the people again, they have forgotten who they are meant to serve.
how the fuck deep does this USAID shit go wtf
Guess why all politicians are sperging like a babies right now, I guess there's a lot more to discover yet.

Worse, Reuter's payoff 's is explicitly listed as being for "Social Engineering"

That's not the same Reuters as "the" Reuters the original poster was referring to though is it? If you look up Thomson Reuters Special Services it brings up something else entirely.
Here's a video (Archive) where they describe what they do (some sort of dystopian misinformation data handling shit).
"Many of our employees come directly from intelligence, national security, and law enforcement realms" smells like glow ops.

Same company. Thomson Reuters is the parent for the Reuters News Service.

I would like a direct link to the grant though, that LSD description feels a little too on the nose.

Should be. Let's say you really need a $5 thingy. That thingy is now $9.50. It sucks that it nearly doubles in price, but it's still pretty cheap.and if you really need it you can afford it. If it's a $100 thingy it's now $133 which is doable. If you have to buy 1,000s of the things it will add up quick and be painful, but maybe a local source for them will prop up.

I'd be very concerned about giving my SSN to random people on the internet just so they can ship random crap to me tho.

Never thought we would hit the heart of the hydra so easily with stopping USAID.

I don't like his H1B stance either but he should get and deserves special treatment because other then Trump himself no one risked more. If it takes 100k H1B 80iq pajeets imported into some Space X factory to work 100 hours a week for him to be happy then so be it.

The H1B system could be fixed by effectively putting a tariff on them where the companies pay an added tax for not employing a citizen and the money going towards education and training in whatever sector there are supposedly too few Americans in to satisfy demand. It would also benefit from changing the system to one where all companies have to bid against each other for permits, which drives up the price and prevents them being used to suppress wages. In cases where a company does want to hire an international rock star, they still can because spending the extra money is worth it for them and it takes away from whoever would pay the least money instead.

Musk would probably buy into a system like that or could at least see the logic in it and go along with it even if it cost him more money to get what he wanted than the current system does. I'm also not even sure why Elon would want to import them when he can just built a factory in India or any other country where they already live and would be paid even less to work there. Even if there were tariffs on whatever parts they're producing, it would still be cheaper than moving them to the US to do the same work.

In regards to Japan taking in Palestinians: There has been growing resentment between the Japs and refugee/tourists lately. Earlier this week there was an incident where an entire fucking group of tourists nearly got run over by a train in Kyoto because they weren't listening when they said " when the bars come down don't cross".

Though I can't remember if it was the Pakistani or Africans that were causing a bunch of trouble recently. At any rate Japan is becoming very unfriendly to gaijin in general. There are signs on restaurants telling foreigners to fuck off or at least a month or two ago there were.

This was after another incident in Kyoto forced them to actually prohibit gaijin from a section of Kyoto near where the geisha live. Also Japan might be kinda lazy on the cop front, but holy shit their border control is johnny on the spot if it's time to go home. They will literally send people to search for your ass if they have no records of your departure from the country by the time your visa is up.
Japan has always been a bit abrasive towards foreigners. "No foreigners allowed" has been a popular sign on establishments since at least the late 90s.

That being said, the Japanese go out of their way to not disturb their neighbors (part of it is conditioning, another is culture) and majority of cultures do not do this. Japan has always had issues with non-japanese individuals (in the mid-2010s there was a big issue with Chinese and Korean tourists damaging historical areas). The issue is now coming to a head that the majority of Japanese are feeling like their country is being blatantly disrespected by outsiders and they're going about it in a very Japanese way.

Every single time the Japanese have taken in refugees they've been burned and kicked every single one out.

The fact that they called out the US military over the sexual assaults that happen in Okinawa last year is a huge thing, especially because US service members raping Japanese women isn't a new issue.
