This is such surface level retardation as well. To the point where it almost seems like a parody. Just ignore all the herbs Europeans did use like sage, thyme, rosemary, dill etc. Not to mention things like salt, honey etc. No clearly they only ate boiled grain and cabbage.
If this really was a game made by people with a love for history they wouldn't just write such dumb things shitting on Europe.
Could it be possible that a character like Musa would have a superiority complex and prefer the spices from his home if written by a smart person? Naturally but I just don't see it in that light. It really just seems like the standard anti European rhetoric we've seen so much of in recent years presented completely unironically.
