To that end, the justices often came to their preferred results and then worked backwards to find (or when necessary twist) the law to fit the record. This approach was particularly noticeable in the Roe v. Wade and Griswold cases. (Even turbo-lib Ruth Bader Ginsburg was well-known in her disagreement with the (lack of) reasoning in the Roe opinion.)

To be fair, that was the original Israeli plan. The Trump Administration has been very tight-lipped about what this hair-brained scheme of theirs for Gaza actually entails. The Press Secretary claimed it wouldn't necessarily involve troops or spending on our end, but I don't see how that would even be possible.
