One reassuring phone call from him to the venue owner could have kept in place an adequately sized venue with actual paid ticketholders even after discounting however many fake purchases MAPtons' minions pulled back for refunds at the last minute, and it wouldn't have been hard to get some laughs out of whatever few dozen bar regulars happen to stroll in for free, just to salvage some semblance of a W or at least a draw. Chad had the idea to do a live podcast in Atlantic City over Super Bowl weekend, which he called Kill Kevin (they were jacking Hinchcliffe’s format). He said he’d organize everything. He failed to confirm any of the most basic details with the venue, including how many tickets could be sold and whether or not it would be a private event or open to the public. Many people pointed out over the past two months that none of this was being addressed. Chad’s response was “What’s to organize? We have plenty of time, it will all be fine.” The venue was also closed for renovation and due to open a couple of days before the intended event — a very fucking risky prospect.

Chad, by his own admission, never spoke to the venue owner or even drafted an agreement covering what the terms of the event engagement would be. He just texted the guy. Most of Chad’s attention went to producing lanyards for the event.

Kevin Brennan got wind on Wednesday that the event would NOT be private after all. The venue owner was such a mess that he wouldn’t even have a phone call with him to discuss, and put him off for 24 hours. Over that time, supposedly, Melton‘s legion of MAP defenders inundated the venue with phone calls and e-mails telling the owner that Stuttering John would be showing up to fight people (so he claimed), revealing Chad’s criminal history for stalking and robbery, and that Kevin is a white nationalist (he openly hates Jews and was so butthurt about Trump winning the election that he tweeted a bunch of shit about Hitler needing to kill more Jews).





Chad threw a tantrum this morning and tweeted that he was canceling the event, proclaiming that “Melton won” and feeling sorry for himself. He also claims the venue canceled the event, yet he never even spoke to the owner — a shady friend of his told him they cancelled.

Chad refuses to own his complete lack of competence and failure to organize the event. The fact is that he knew Melton’s crew would try to fuck shit up, and instead of anticipating that and planning accordingly, he failed to plan anything and handed them a ton of ammo to use against him.
