While I agree that seniority can be used to grind down young talent, make no mistake, most 18-21 year olds today shouldn't be running shit.
It's not definitely just the left. And not only over 50. It's 40 and 30 year olds who see people in their 20s as children. Because that is how many of them act and structure their lives. So often they'd rather be 'cat dads', play videogames, and watch porn (which is all fine, their choice) than do things that will make them considered to be mature members of society.

TL;DR: Being able to at least pay bills with cash to spare without being stupid in public or at work is maturity. Fair amount of agreement otherwise.

I agree slightly, as 18-21 you should be learning from someone that runs said shit, however my main point is to judge on what someone is doing outside of hobbies. As an example: I am likely to see people willing to high five a “24 year old entry level rookie in any business”, yet they balk at a ”24 year old in a high responsibility position in an accounting firm”, as if age is some magic responsibility ball, completely ignoring what work was put in at ages 18-23. Even more pronounced is that if either play videogames, invest in model kits, or any other ”offbeat” hobby, the respect falls off hard. Seriously, why?

They still earned what they have, how can you condemn someone for their (legal) use of their free time? Saying someone is immature because they take silly cat photos or play videogames, while performing a high competency task or at least performing well enough in life to not drag down society is cope. I assume anyone in a position of responsibility has the common sense to hide their porn habit, if they have one. You deserve any flak you get for letting that one slip, due to the raw lack of competency with opsec it shows.

this duel was only a few years before the civil war, and it involved 2 sitting us congressmen dueling to the death

That particular duel was fought a little over two decades before the Civil War. North-South relations were obviously strained by that point in our nation's history, but they hadn't reached the boiling point necessary to set off a war. Incidentally, Graves was only asked to deliver a letter from another man who had challeged Cilley to a duel. Cilley refused in a manner that insulted Graves, who then in turn challenged Cilley to a duel which he accepted. Although the two men belonged to different political parties that didn't like each other, their duel was due in large part to both of them acting like shitheads in what can best be described as a 19th century rendition of When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong.

Rate me optimistic, but I feel like Trump's talk of annexing Gaza and sending all Palestinians to Europe is a "Big Ask". Israel clearly wants to region and I think the only way they're gonna get it is if they're willing to agree to Trump's terms. What those terms will be, I dunno, but I doubt he's willing to piss off all of Europe by annexing a country and sending the Palestinians into the region; he has way more to lose and nothing to gain by alienating a region like that over sending them to a place like, oh, Iran. Obviously, this is me just thinking aloud, but much of what people say doesn't strike me as Trump's style.

Trump didn't mention sending Palestinians to Europe. Trump mentioned neighboring countries taking them in. Israel mentioned exporting them to Europe a day after Trump's remarks.

It would seem this plan is not some epic own on Benny and Israel. In fact, it appears to have come directly from them and involves forcing Europeans to take the most forsaken, cursed, violent, disordered and resentful people in the Middle East as an additional burden.
