"It's only softcore gay porn" doesn't really help your position. Man ass is disgusting and men's brains react to gay people the same way they react to seeing insects scuttling around. It's disgusting, even if they were of age it's still extremely repulsive. Then you add in the fact Capon is under 18.

There's a more nuanced conversation to have about medieval sexual norms and so on, but given it was a Catholic age you would have to discuss it from a Catholic perspective, which the first game at least was very good at stepping into. Don't tell me that a game with a side quest to burn people at the stake because they say their prayers differently and subvert the Church is occupied by people who believe "well ackshually putting your penis in a man's shitpipe is okay".

TL;DR: Vavra is Jewish and traded principle for financial success. Happens all the time. It's nothing special, it's just a shame it took a genuinely decent game and misunderstood what its audience enjoyed about the first one. But don't try and defend him over it, just accept he took the money and the worldbuilding is worse for it.

I've been watching a friend play the game from the start right until the hanging scene.

I appreciate the game for having you work for any amount of social standing, in that respect it's like the Gothic series which I enjoy quite a bit.
Nothing comes for free, you can't just waltz up to the king's castle and walk in, every inch is earned.

I did enjoy the side stories so far and it feels like you do have some freedom over how the story will pan out, the story of the exiled hag, daughter and the farmer who lost his only son had me invested.

Now I did know there was gay sex in the game somewhere and until now I certainly didn't know it was with Hans.

Just sharing my perspective and thoughts on the character, how he was presented to me and what I thought of him.

So the game starts and you're riding about with your entourage of knights, you get stopped by another group of knights and questioned.
My friend failed the speech-check or he picked a wrong option and made the captain of those knights angry, Hans then successfully diffused the situation.
Some time later Hans wants to go peep on some bathing women so you take off your gear and go sneak about in the pond, this leads to you losing your gear and other plot stuff.

After managing to escape and heal, you and Hans managed to gain some clothes and are now sitting at a tavern to get some food with what little money you got.
Hans constantly postulates about being a noble, demands shit for free and gets offended about not being treated right.
You as the player can treat him in various ways, you can yell at him for acting so immature, try to make him see reason given the situation they're both in or you can try to stroke his ego and even defend him from people not treating him like a noble.

So after Hans refuses to do some menial work to pay for the food he starts a fight with someone and you gotta save his ass.
This leads to Hans blaming you and fucking off to do some other thing, you got this whole falling out thing.

This is honestly where I got a bit confused about him, he looks and acts like he is 20 but then he turns around and just absolutely refuses to deal with his new situation, his new reality and on top of that blames Henry who had done nothing wrong.

Then a bit later in the game you meet him again at a wedding where he is then seen flirting and laying in hay with some woman.
After that you're both in prison and he loudly brags about how he had done poaching to get enough gear and reputation to attend the wedding, this leads to him being sentenced to death as far as I know.

I had the impression that Hans was just a bit younger than Henry and at times he seems to be a capable and somewhat experienced leader, but then he has these petulant episodes where he screams about not getting his way or just goes on about doing a DEATH SENTENCE CRIME while he is sitting in prison.

BI certainly did not think he would be 16 or that you would end up having the option of gay sex with him, Hans certainly never came on to you and he has shown loads of interest in woman what with wanting to peep on them and being seen successfully flirting with one.

But I suppose this entire post is moot since the goy who worked on the game made it clear that he is in fact 16.
