And a sequel can have bigger scope, do more things, etc. The first one didn't have guns but the second one did. Is that suddenly a point of contention? No, because you can understand how different entries will focus on different things.

Warhorse preached about how historically accurate the first game was, which for the most part it was. Much of the success of the first game is due to how faithful the game is to the historical recreation of 1403 Bohemia without the involvement of modern-day political ideologies being sprinkled around, such as forced representation among other things. In 2017~2018, Vavra himself went on a massive social media crusade of sorts against the woke culture of circa 2018. Of course, we had the quirky but well-handled quests that involved hot topics regarding witches, adultery, drunkenness, murder, and blaspheme. However, those things were grounded and integrated into that time period where they made sense. There would have been a stark contrast between a token African Muslim renaissance man belittling your Bohemian culture in Rattay vs a quest in the first game where you pretend to be a devil to spy on a coven of herb-abusing "witches" for Father Godwin.
The justifications we have been given for the inclusion of these events in-game that are the subject of this discussion, are monstrously inept. Not only are the excuses inadequate, they are obviously malice-oriented when given the context of Warhorse Studio's acquisition by Embracer Group. They could not expertly justify the reason for these to exist because there are none.

A rational person would have expected the second game to follow suite, however... what fans received was far from the offerings of the first game. I hope the second game's fanatics enjoy their ESG-micro dosed Skinner Boxes.

The only part that makes sense is that his dad would've had him at 26 if Henry was 27 in the first game and I think there might've been mention of Radzig in that game saying that he had his fling with Henry's mom when he was relatively young. If Henry was born later, Radzig would've been somewhere in his thirties at conception. Also another thing that'd make him being 27 weird is that either all the other bachelors and bachelorettes are around that age as well, or Henry pals around with people that are a decade younger than him and that's seen as completely normal.
