also people don't seem to understand that musk is theoretically rich. he's got no liquidity, it's all tied up in stocks for his overvalued companies. his wealth relies on subsidies from the US government as well as speculative stock value.

Because those "previous sociopaths" didn't install the richest man in the world to mess with things for his own amusement and personal gain, they didn't start trade wars with close allies and threaten to annex countries and build resorts in war zones, they didn't idolize Putin, Kim Jong Un, and Xi Jinping, and they didn't hire unqualified TV talking heads for important government positions.

I disagree. The ICC is a joke and there's a reason we pulled out of it and passed the so-called "Hague Invasion Act," stating that any attempt to exert jurisdiction over American military personnel would be met with military force. Putting up with this illegitimate kangaroo court pretending to have the authority to arrest the heads of state of sovereign nations is not something we should do.
There are scores of genocidal kleptocratic dictators and war criminals in Africa (and even Eastern Europe and Asia) who do worse in a year than Israel has done ever.
Israel has never consented to the jurisdiction of the Rome Statute and is not a party to the ICC, and the US has officially withdrawn its consent, for good cause.
Honestly, Elon Musk is so far the absolute worst thing Trump has done. Nobody elected that lolcow, nor is he even appointed. I wouldn't mind to see an actual DOGE Cabinet agency, though Elon Musk should not be anywhere near it, or anywhere near citizen's financial records. (Bringing down the hatchet on wokeshit at USAID is a net positive, though.)

I don't always agree with your stance on things, but I appreciate that even as a conservative you recognize and call out the fact that Trump himself is an asshole. It's a shame that Republicans couldn't come up with a better candidate. Hell, I used to thing that Dubya was the worst, but he was a beacon of a President compared to Trump.

More so a combination of biases and pragmatism. In a sense of bias that Trump supporters inherently view any news in regards to him more favorably and any bad press against him more skeptically. I mean, that is actively encouraged by Trump calling pieces written against him as fake news. And pragmatism in a sense that some of the supporters don't agree with everything Trump says or does, but they view him as a better choice or lesser evil compared to the opposition (although that category of people typically don't have TES).
Cognitive dissonance implies awareness of these contradictions, which many of them may not even have. If they lean on being biased, they may not have any idea on how much money is spent towards Israel, but they'll take the claim of millions of dollars spent on Palestinian condoms at face value. It's difficult to reason with these types, because you typically can't reason someone out of a position that they didn't reason themselves into in the first place. If they lean on being more pragmatic, they may be fully aware that some of the stuff Trump does is bullshit or just have some doubts or bad vibes about the guy, but they'll endorse him regardless, because they feel like he's a shake up that's needed for american politics, even if he brings some damage in the process.

That's easy to answer - people who are against these things are against them because they perceive it as their money going to support what they view as lazy welfare leeches like niggers, trannies, illegal immigrants, etc. That's basically enough for them to write off social services as a horrible idea entirely.
You might think it's retarded and I do but there's a kind of "fuck you, got mine" logic behind it even if it's basically taking it to the extreme. For example I think Centrelink in Australia is horribly mismanaged and needs major reform but I would never support gutting it entirely because even if it has my taxes going to retarded shit, I sleep better knowing that if things go wrong and I'm in deep shit, there are systems in place to stop me from going completely under.
