He's said the retired early line multiple times before. If it is true, he's not gonna stay retired long if he's spending thousands a month on a grown ass man. But then again, you don't retire early if you're bad with money, so probably a lie.
He's also "sold a start up" at least twice among other bullshit. Retired start up selling bodybuilding trans queens are just built different.

DSP's internet was totally shit today too. Stream paused multiple times and he was getting legit lag spikes. He better call comcast and get that shit fixed.

Three: if he knows how TAXES work, he could write off those full price games for his BUSINESS. Assuming the bankruptcy did not affect taxes.
I see people say this pretty frequently and I always get the impression that they think "write it off on your taxes" = you get it for free.
All of Phil's money comes from his """business""". If Phil buys a $60 game he also owes the government another $20 in taxes on the income he used to buy that game. If he buys a $60 game for his """business""" and writes it off on his taxes he is still -$60, he just doesn't owe the government another $20 on that $60 of income that he spent on his """business""". He still spent it, he's just at -$60 instead of -$80.
Like if Phil buys $10,000 worth of equipment for his """business""" and writes it off he doesn't owe the government another $3,333 of taxes on that $10,000 of income he spent. Hopefully you sort of understand why when Phil says he spent $10,000 to "lower my tax burden" it's completely retarded because Phil is still -$10,000 instead of being +$6,666 after paying the government the $3,333 income tax burden on that $10,000 of income.

So his wife has a long work week, and he won't let her have a break from cooking unless his dents give him enough tips. He claims he loves her, by the way.
Dood I can't cook, I work 6 days a week and the like.

More seriously I think having khet cook reheat everything is part of the mature adult LARP. He really has a twisted view of what a couple does.

That makes me wonder how Dave sr. and Linda's marriage really was. Lil Philly must have based his whole married couple view on their broken marriage.

100% this. I can't remember the game off the top of my head, but a few years ago he pre-ordered the copy of some game, then when it was close to release, couldn't remember if he actually bought it or not, so he just pre-ordered a second copy. I think he ended up checking *after* buying the second copy for some reason, but it might have been a few days later. While it's possible he refunded one of them off stream, I genuinely believe he's too lazy for that.

I want to say both copies were also special editions, but I might be getting my lore confused with his more recent multi-purchases of Street Fighter
I think he did this with the most recent Mortal Kombat I feel like I remember him pre ordering it twice.

He definitely got the early access edition too. He did an impromptu night stream on his day off the night early access went live but refused to play it because it wasn’t scheduled till the next day lol.

Iron said he’s “retired” in chat. I don’t believe that. I think he has rich parents or something and they give him money to shut up and go away

That's probably an autocorrect from when he was trying to type "retarded".

Anyway, my theory is that he got lucky with cypto or something. I feel that's the case with most of his whales. And today's fun fact: DSP received $408 in contributions, with $300 being forked over by ICS. That's literally 75% of today's total amount.

Some clips of the extreme, aggressive begging of today's late stream, for archival purposes:

"We should get more support with every set of Street Fighter that I play":

Wtf?

Unironically putting ranked play behind a literal paywall:

I'm at a loss for words... So playing an integral part of a game is now defined to be "doing something cool", and being put behind a paywall.

He's doubling down on the aggressive grift. Every time you think he can't sink any lower... His streams have literally turned into LTG-style streams.

"It's my audience's fault" basically. Also "You're here why do you not contribute?" Yeah Phil, you are a cult leader and you treat your fans like cult members to shake up for pennies.. That rant a few days ago. Pure projection
Also:

There was an attempt to play the game until I think around the last year, guess the 3 documentaries people made about him last year really did mentally affect him.

The thing is unlike LTG whenever DSP does this he is not funny at all, especially not now where the only thing he does is beg and if he doesn't get enough attention he instantly quits the game. His voice also sounds like a goblin than a person.

I've wasted years watching streamers across all sorts of games and communities. When it comes to the really big streamers with thousands of viewers, who can live comfortably off of subs and a constant inflow of $2 donations from kids, you don't really see full-time whales like OIC or IronChefSakai. They have big whales who occasionally drop in and dump a shit ton of money, sure. But rarely do they have people who make it their life mission to be there every single day to make sure the streamer receives his or her findom tithe. With these smaller streamers like DSP who only get a few hundred viewers and need big whales to survive (because the streamer is a manbaby or e-whore who refuses to get a job on the side), it's almost never the case that their big whales are actually oil princes, crypto millionaires or trust fund babies. The whales enjoy shrouding their source of income in mystery and allowing people to speculate as to how they can have so much money to splurge on a streamer, but in the end when their real identities get leaked, it's nearly always a regular Joe who, by some cosmic misfortune, feels compelled to give away money he really can't afford to lose. There are a lot of 20-somethings who have a pretty decent job but still live at home and donate pretty much their entire paycheck instead of saving money so they can move out. You've also got your typical family man who donates his savings, wife's savings and then goes into credit card debt to continue donating big sums of money. When the people in DSP's WWE Champions factions were identified, I think that gave a pretty good representation also of the kind of people who waste money on streamers.

I believe it's unethical for DSP to receive daily support from a single benefactor, especially considering their very public falling out last December. During that incident, DSP characterized the individual as unstable and "crazy." It's clearly an abusive relationship and unhealthy for both parties. If DSP had any integrity, he would ban the whale and block any payments from him.

How long will take for him to start paywalling his camera or mic?

This is a good point. We know that Downfromtherafters, for example, spends tens of thousands a dollars a year on a game that offers no long-term benefits or gains and no chance of getting anything for the money spent. Guys like OIC and ICS and whoever else they're pretending to be, for some reason get off on giving (tens of?) thousands of dollars to Phil, which also offers no long-term benefits or gains and no chance of getting anything for the money spent. In fact, WWE at least gives you a 6-star Hogan now and then.

Phil gives you oogatz.

The people propping Phil up would spend it on dumb shit anyway, it either goes to Phil or MLP funkopops.

Think of it as someone else paying your netflix subscription.
