Every white person in the world thinking they're hip-hop for engaging in a cancel culture, Karenesque rap "beef." Then cheering as Kendrick mocks them for hating "black culture" at the biggest "white culture" event in America.
Trump took a bullet so I don't have to pretend to like rap any more. They can all fuck right off.

2 - The tech bro stuff. Digital ID and neuralink all the sort of ideas that Larry Ellison and the like talk about, more or less WEF ideas scaled down to fit in Trump's new-nationalism model of politics. Its spooky and I don't like it, but again the alternative was more gay race communism so of the two options I guess we got the better deal?
Yea a lot of it is pretty dystopian, but honestly, I'd rather deal with that shit than have to go through the most backasswards 4 years of DEI in chief Kamala bitching about how hard it is for minorities and women while essentially reaching the highest achievement in human history.

That and I already don't know if we're gunna be able to come back from how fucked things are from diversity capitalism, and if we had another 4 years of it I unironically believe the only result would be communism.

$17 million pissed away on African niggers. And if that isn't enough, apparently the $59 million last week wasn't the only money FEMA spent on illegals, because of course it wasn't.
A $XX million cut on Liberia or condoms is fun, but won't bring DOGE cuts to $1 trillion. They need to tear into the Pentagon to do any real damage.

Cutting the "migrant" funding hits harder than the dollar amount though.

What established US as a formal world empire was Truman's response to the Korean War. The US said "we are going to provide security for other countries against the communists." Then North Korean invaded the South and the communists told the US to put its money where its mouth was. So, we did. Had we shrugged and went back to pre-WWII isolationism, history would have gone very differently.

Truman was responsible for all the post-WWII fallout which made the US a global superpower, not FDR.
What established the US as a "formal world empire" was, in chronological order:

The creation of the Bretton Woods system (1944)
The occupation of Japan and Germany (1945)
The creation of the United Nations (1945)
The establishment of the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands (1947)
The proclamation of the Truman Doctrine (1947)
The Berlin airlift (1948-1949)
The decision to make the giving of money and weapons to Greece and Turkey public policy whereas before it had been kept semi-secret (1948 )
The formation of NATO (1949)
The Korean War answered the question of whether the United States would intervene directly with its military against communism outside of Europe, it did not establish the US as the center of the anti-communist world. That had already happened

This thread simplifies history, omits history, mixes up history, and gets history plain wrong again and again and it's pretty funny

The Berlin Airlift showed the USA's ability to combat the Soviets without firing a shot. NATO only applied to Europe. The Korean War is crucial because it was the first time the US was tested on stopping communist aggression globally, outside of Western Europe, and the USA passed the test.

I don't even disagree with your other important events, but the "capstone" was the Korean War.

I think earlier last week they said they're gearing up to audit the Pentagon soon. God knows how much waste is in that fucking department.

The US stopped it in Greece and Turkey before NATO existed... the US also did the same in Japan with the reverse course policy... and stopped it in the southern half of the Korean peninsulia in its policy pre-Korean War... US policy towards Chiang Kai-shek post-Japanese surrender was also inconsistent and generally tended to favor Mao in the result, intentionally or unintentionally... more examples of how this thread omits history and simplifies it

That and the Fed, if those get audited @Null can do a special MATI just on funny shit they have wasted money on.

they did. people are once again forgetting that this is a real job that takes real time. i wouldn't be surprised at all if they're spending a lot of this time before the audit dotting every i, crossing every t, and putting a nice little tail on all their q's so that they can be insulated from the inevitable barrage of leftist bullshit that will be spewed about how it's unconstitutional to reduce the department of defense's spending, which will truly be fun to force my leftie friends to defend. "oh, so you think the US needs to spend the same or more on defense?".

there's a real job to be done here, not just some false political win that feels good in the moment. if you want the audit of the treasury, the audit of the fed, the audit of the pentagon to MATTER, it has to be done right.

I don't think Kendrick mocked White Americans in the halftime show. He seemed to be talking about the division of the country, and the horrible actions of it's elite. While making it so Black liberals will defend it no matter what. I thought it was genius.

Besides the Pentagon the other elephants in the room when it comes to cutting spending are health services and Social Security.

Can't really blame anyone if they want to avoid bringing them into the expenses discussion though since in a lot of ways, talking about it is political poison.

The US offered clandestine support to Greece in its civil war by taking over the existing British operation. Korea was a bigger deal because the US sent its own boys over to fight and die against communists directly.

The Korean War was the first time that the US went to war to defend a foreign country in a conflict that did not directly relate to the US. Japan attacked the US. Germany declared war on the US. The US sent its soldiers in the first head-to-head conflict against communists to defend a country against communist aggression. Are you arguing that this is not significant and that this is not more indicative of the US doing "empire" than the US offering under-the-table support of anti-communist Greeks?

I worked at a company that had international operations once. Our "bribe" policy was that if it was usual and customary in the country we were doing business in then it was allowed. This wasn't to gain new business but for things like "Oh, you want us to look at your building plans? Sure, that will be 2 years."

YESSS gut the social security.
Just distract the boomies by arranging free disneyland day and beatles reunion

I agree, but their are so many us pennies in circulation, and no plans to remove them. I can't see it really being a thing to worry about for at least a decade. coins don't really wear out the way paper bills do, adn the banks aren't pulling them.

All of those are "out of circulation" (in grandpa's huge ass jug).

I think Dan from Lotus Eaters crunched the numbers (or stole someone else's homework) and found that if you raised retirement age to 70 you'd immediately save $1 Trillion.

I've paid into the SS system for years now, but I KNOW that any money I get out of it will not be worth shit. We need to pick a hard date so people have time to plan and retire the program.
