It goes without saying that none of these methods are perfect but it's better than letting them rot with over half of them being suicidal but ig some of you just wanna be evil because of scary stories, like you can be against trans women in sports or in women bathrooms without wanting half of them dead yk
Just in case you weren't aware, suicide-baiting - that is, threatening to commit suicide or claiming to be suicidal in order to get what you want - is a recognized abuse tactic and should never be taken seriously or catered to. You can read up on the literature regarding this if you want to. Troons claiming they'll kill themselves if you don't give them everything they want, like access to women's changing rooms or free boob jobs, is a tactic of abuse and manipulation, no different from the bog standard loser boyfriend going "if you leave me I'll kill myself and it'll be
all your fault!" The correct answer is always to call their bluff and walk away.
Btw I wouldn't be surprised if trans women are way less likely to commit sexual offenses than cis men
Trans-identified males (what you call "transwomen") are actually many times
more likely to commit sex crimes than so-called "cis" (normal) men. Someone linked this before, but I doubt you paid attention so
I'll link it again. Around half of all trans-identified males in prison are there for sex crimes - needless to say, the majority of normal male prisoners are
not in prison for sex crimes, so use your common sense and work out the proportions.
To prevent the inevitable counterarguments that troons often present: These statistics come from the UK and concern only actual sex crimes, ie rape, sexual assault, child molestation, possession of child sexual abuse materials, and similar.
I don't judge an entire group of people because of some freaks
You are literally doing this right now, in this thread.
like i agree there are issues regarding woman sports or trans woman in woman fields but posting alongside people who spam gas the jews and all trans people should kill themselves is not convincing anyone, even people interested in dialogue.
If that's the case, then why do you expect us to be convinced of the legitimacy of transgender identification and belief systems when it is presented by a group of men who commonly advocate for women, especially lesbians and feminists, to be raped to death for the crime of questioning them? What about when said group advocates for women to have zero safe spaces without male presence, and does things like violently protest any women-only space that dares to remain female-specific? Should we judge them as unconvincing for associating with men who do things like deliberately patronize waxing salons owned by immigrant women from conservative countries to try to force them to wax his balls and then sues them when they refuse due to the modesty rules of their religion and culture (see: Jessica Yaniv)? What about associating with, protecting and promoting known pedophile cartoonists who draw furry fanart of other people's infants (Sophie Labelle)? Excusing and handwaving away male murderers who target lesbian women and their families and advocating for these violent males who target women to be housed in women's prisons (Dana Rivers)? Associating with and promoting the sexually violent invasion of a women's only space where trans-identified males chased women with homemade spears, groped women and girls, violated group therapy sessions for women healing from sexual assault by describing masturbating with their penises, and hung up in spaces children were present sexually explicit posters declaring their "tranny cocks" as "more woman" than real women (Michfest, also Dana Rivers)? At what point does the amount of insanity and disgusting filth make it valid to disregard a group or movement? And why are shitposts on a free speech website somehow considered worse to you than
actual sex crimes?
Check your source. Quoting:
The Trans PULSE respondent-driven sampling (RDS) survey collected data from trans people age 16+ in Ontario, Canada, including 380 who reported on suicide outcomes.
Bold mine. What this means is that this "study" is based off of a measly 380 responses to a self-reporting survey that was given out by a trans-specific activist group which materially (financially as well as in gaining political support) benefits from trans-identified people reporting high rates of suicidality, and that it was incentivized in some way by the study authors for the trans-identified individuals responding to the survey to share it with their trans-identified friends and loved ones. In other words, it circulated in a very,
very small community of people who benefit from the survey showing a specific result. You absolutely cannot make assumptions about the trans community as a whole - much less in many different countries, as the study authors claim their results reflect conditions in
all of Europe as well as the US and Canada - based on less than 400 people who have a vested interest in and benefit from certain results being shown.
To be clear, the benefit is that suicide-baiting is literally how transgender groups get what they want. They bully and wail that they'll suicide so you'd better let them in the women's prison, the women's locker room, the rape crisis center, you'd better give them those free breast implants, you'd better force that lesbian group to let them in, you'd better sterilize that
child... and so on.
In other words, to put it very simply: You cannot take a self-report survey of a very small number of people seriously, especially when those people are incentivized to lie.
Furthermore, most of these studies only ask the question "have you ever
felt suicidal" and do not refer to actual attempted suicides (where it would be almost trivially easy to perform such a study based on anonymized hospital and/or doctor's records - there is a reason they do not do this). Almost none of them investigate the issue of trans-identified people with other mental health issues that may influence suicidality. They are utterly useless as academic studies and completely worthless to cite.
There is no proof that trans-identified persons commit suicide at any higher rate than people who do not identify as transgender - in fact, there are very few known cases of trans-identified persons committing suicide, certainly no higher than the rate of people who do not identify as transgender and suffer from depression or other mental health issues.
