The ironic thing is that reddit would serve much better as a "platform of the resistance" if they weren't the most unfriendly platform I've ever seen for VPN-protected posting.

Like you need a screenname connected to an easily unmaskable IP address to do anything. I use a VPN that has no compatibility issues with any website except reddit which shits its pants and ragequits because there's no PPI to sell to advertisers. And also I suppose to make it easier for unpaid jannies to permanently sweep up wrongthink from any given source.

None, I know you already know that none of them have gone through with it. It started with the moderator "protest" that folded in 2 seconds but now it's clearly just kids throwing a temper tantrum. None of these people will do this. They burn out like anything else that they "would die for".

I'm reasonably sure a lot of that was just after 2016 when ShareBlue dumped millions into buying the front page fodder subs. Also can't overlook places like r/ShitRedditSays, which was started by Goons who managed to worm their way into the machinery over time.

He destroyed any good will he had by developing an ego the size of Texas, often referring to himself and his friend's comedy as "the last line of defense of free speech" then ruining his podcast by getting "the bag" and visibly checking out and not giving a shit anymore. Who are some of these dozens of shit tier stand up comedians that he "floods the comedy scene" with? If anything his original friend group of Callen, Diaz, Schaub and Kreischer etc. were much less funny and the guys he hangs out with now are very accomplished with or without him. Gillis, Von, Normand...they're pretty much the cream of the crop as comedians that can be funny off the cuff.

Comedians and their podcasts were a big part of pushing back against speech controls and opening things up for dissident speech. If you'd been paying attention the last few years you would know that.
