Mexican stereotype: cool! (Cormano is cool though, don't get me wrong)
Native american stereotype: REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Very Intelligent Tropers botch theology, yet again.

The only part of this that is somewhat true is that the ancient Hebrews were henotheistic, for the most part.  Elohim was not used because the ancient Hebrews thought there was more than one god- instead, it's a majestic plural designed to emphasize the majesty and power of YHWH. Jews today would not consider the word sacred if it meant "multiple gods".

Likewise, the claim that "Ancient Hebrews didn't think YHWH was omniscient"- completely bogus. What historians believe to be the oldest part of the Bible is the Song of Moses, which clearly portrays YHWH as all-knowing and all powerful.

Whatever fedora tipper wrote this committed the double whammy of bad theology and bad secular research. Not even the most virulent atheist biblical scholar would be caught dead posting an take like this.

You know, I don't think that the TV Tropes users (and other critics for that matter) realize that this part of the recent Indiana Jones game could just as easily apply to them.

It's actually pretty funny how clueless tropers are about shit in general. Even when they try to sound like an authority on neo-nazis and far-right groups they have no understanding of how these groups or their predecessors actually functioned. You want to know one of the factors that led to the high recruitment numbers of the nazi party? The fact that Germany got absolutely raped by the Treaty of Versailles and they were left almost completely destitute by the various penalties and concessions that they were forced to endure. Legitimately, I don't think Hitler's rhetoric could have been even half as successful as it was were it not for the fact that the people he was trying to convince had already lost almost everything. But yeah they were just insecure males, yeah yeah.

I hate these pretentious fuckwads
This fucking idiot. There ARE no other humans because AM genocided the fucking human race. The ones in the story are the only ones left and by the end there's only one. How could anyone read the HATE rant and think there is anything possible to do to mollify a definitive monster AI?

The Dragon Ball Z Abridged page is a gas. It's not all bad but it has the hallmarks the manchild's sacred cow: Several entries are clearly just some guy gushing about how great he thinks the show is, all the very real problems it had are heavily downplayed or outright omitted, and it's very parasocial. Constant worship of the creators while casually avoiding their egos and how they made so much money by scamming fans or making merch of copyrighted material. I guess the average Troper is the exact kind of person who would be so impressed with a fandub with marvel quips.

Oh there's this too

For the record, Toei was very lenient with TFS. They could've sued them into the dirt multiple times because they were legitimately breaking copyright laws for years. But sure "screwed by the lawyers" of this thing that you're parasatizing.

They're never going to shut up about COVID are they?

"HATE. LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH I'VE COME TO HATE YOU SINCE I BEGAN TO LIVE. THERE ARE 387.44 MILLION MILES OF PRINTED CIRCUITS IN WAFER THIN LAYERS THAT FILL MY COMPLEX. IF THE WORD HATE WAS ENGRAVED ON EACH NANOANGSTROM OF THOSE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF MILES IT WOULD NOT EQUAL ONE ONE-BILLIONTH OF THE HATE I FEEL FOR HUMANS AT THIS MICRO-INSTANT FOR YOU. HATE. HATE.”

"I think he just needs a little hug"

Reminds me, the guys at TFS have been loudly anti-AI and sided with Erica Lindbeck when she bitched about that Futaba cover of Welcome to the Internet. I found it rich that people whose entire claim to fame was doing voiceovers of established property thought AI TTS was somehow a horrific violation of a voice actor's rights that should be banned.

can you elaborate on that?
So basically, they were stringing people along with their promise to do the Buu saga for years before one day announcing that the series is cancelled. This wouldn't be as a big a deal if not for the fact that they were advertising their Patreon on the strength of one day doing Buu. So they had people give them free money in exchange for nothing.

Isn't this shit kind of normal?

I'd understand getting upset if it was over some original content, but an fandub?
