So who would you guys list as the 5 county's who the U.S.'s closest 'friends' ?
Its honestly really hard to say since no country really has friends even in the best of times.
But to answer the question based on my own biased opinion.
1. Japan. (I put Japan at Number 1 because there is no greater respect then the respect that exists between former enemies, and the USA has a Vassal/Lord responsibility to the Japanese that the Japs for all their faults have never betrayed and thus it would be a serious crime to betray it on our end)
2. Australia. (The Australians are so far away as to be not as obnoxious as the Canadians, while at the same time a critical ally in preserving the pacific wall. A project they have for the most part been willing to participate since the alternative is really, REALLY bad)
3. Singapore (This one is a sleeper and most American's don't think about it at all, but low key the USA has worked really hard in turning Singapore into the Naval "Switzerland" of Southeast Asia. There are no treaties in play here, but there is an understanding)
4. Argentina (The political revolution in Argentina saw Gadsden Flags being waved. If it sticks, the USA will have a serious mutual with a Western Hemisphere nation that wants what we want. Freedom from the tyranny of the old world. Remains to be seen if it sticks, but the sun is rising on a new Axis across the Americas)
5. Italy (Now this is a weird one, I know, but Italy is at the crossroads of a lot of American economics and culture. From Wine to Cars, and the Catholic Church. While the rest of the EU has been dick waving about how great they are, the Italians have very quietly become a major agriculture exporter, and vehicle manufacturer in the North American market. Italian Olive Oil, Wine, and Cars flow like water through the US Economy and Italy has studiously avoided getting entangled in Brussels' spats with Washington DC)
