My theory : inflating sales numbers to trick investors / customers. This feels off... why would the chinese consume euro medieval slop on such numbers?
Its very similar to when bud light did a 95% off rebate right around the Dylan mulvaney controversy, it was NOT for profit, it was to convince investors things WEREN'T that bad, by skewin the numbers by people getting "free" beer that still showed as a sale
How Imagine it would work
-bot farms in china
-funnel money in for reduced sale price, and actual bot cost.
-majority money made right back, besides taxes and steams 30% since you are basically just juggling cash
-can claim its a top seller with over 1 mil$ in sales for the cost of BASICALLY 150k due to low china price / making 70% back
This might sound crazy, but dont forget the insanity of concord, and how they did this on a much smaller scale by demanding sony affiliated companies play concord to pretend its good. AND that veilguard was in 100% denial about failing until it was news to nobody anymore.
And remember when veil-guard bought out those "return to form" reviews? I think this is just a lower key variant, just inflate numbers at a flat rate.
I also don't entirely believe their low budget / making a profit claim because of HOW MUCH promotional bs is being made, you KNOW money is changing hands, Then saying this "made a profit" could be a BALLSY AS FUCK lie. Don't forget the difference between veil guard saying it was topping the charts, and that it was a failure was roughly 2 months.
