Nah, in my experience I needed modded KCD to fix half the jank. It’s a good game but by god every mechanic is such a chore and doesn’t work as it tells you. Even the story falls apart in several places, I found the end game entirely underwhelming plot-wise.

Masterpiece? It's a solid game, but it's not that good. I only really loved the rustic feeling and the combat.

It's a good game to show people how skilled they are. Those who are, have a great time in a fun world with interesting NPCs. Those who don't cry and bitch about easy lock picking (console peasants and controller fags especially), the sword fighting because it isn't 'click the opponent to death' but, gasp, requires a bit of timing, thinking and understanding and the fact that some quests go beyond the typical crapthesda norm of 'go there, get item, go somewhere else, done', of course there are no crosshairs, markets, yellow paint and all the other noob shit modern games have. KCD1 is basically the DA of the woke era, the one game that sticks out positively in a sea of total garbage and just like Dragon Age, it turned into shit with the sequel.

Yes, we need to wait for sales report, but so far things look good for the game.
I do not think video views are really a good metric for games like this, games like this sell slower (RPGs of this type, not Elden Ring type), I think that in 2 or 3 more months we are going to have a report saying how many copies they were expecting/sold across all platforms.

If you're using the codex to prove Hans is 15, then by that logic Markvart von Aulitz is the second coming of the Lord because that nigga died a year before the start of the first game. The game is obviously as "historical" as Vikings or The Last Kingdom (i.e. historical fiction), and as such narrative liberty is taken regards to the ages. The codices explain the history the game is based upon, but doesn't mean it's 1-to-1.

Game does have plenty of flaws. Especially in gameplay balance, because for as much as they said they wanted to improve the master strike OP spam from the first game, they sure had a curious way of going about it by making them easier to perform and limiting them to only swords this time around. Would love to use an axe or a poleaxe, but they feel half-baked compared to all the options and shit that swords get. But this "Hans is 15, it's underage sodomy" shit is dumb as fuck and the fact that it only came about after the game was deemed a critical and financial hit stinks of major copium. Anyone with two eyes and a semi-functioning brain can see that Hans the character is much older than 15.

I'm in act 2, and the only interaction I've had with a gay dude is stabbing him and throwing him out a window. It's a sheep thing. Their favorite yt/stramer/new site said "game good" so they rush out and buy it. I bet a lot of them hated it but after 2h nothing you can do and no normal/sane person writes video game reviews. BG3 itself has good presentation but to actually play it feels heavy. Walking animations too slow a ton of useless items around and nothing feels serious in game for some reason (Larian problem cause they have always had a humorous tone in their games).
