He was brought up Catholic. I don't for the life of me remember what video it was, but there was a video where he said something like, "I grew up Catholic and I was an altar boy, yeah, skip the jokes". He's definitely said that he's not religious anymore. But I seem to remember him speaking positively about Daredevil's Catholicism.
And I seem to remember him saying something about being brought up Catholic, although whatever his religion of his upbringing, I would presume he's non-practicing now.
While I think he likes Daredevil's Catholicism, I don't think he could really articulate why or in what way. I think he probably just likes it because Frank Miller was the one to introduce that element and he was a fan of Miller's work. For the same reason, Hellpriest, despite being a Catholic priest, had more or less the same generic military man personality as the rest of the Jawbreakers (Well, in Godking and Lost Souls, not sure about the other books, because those were the only two I read). Its basically just as meaningless as Khamala Khan's Islamic faith is. In contrast with Frank Miller, who to my knowledge is also an Atheist, Frank at least had the decency to figure out how a character's faith affects their character, whereas Meyer struggles to do the same, despite growing up in that same faith. Good work Rich.
Besides, I can't imagine anyone seriously caring about their faith and trying to make weird AI illustrations of Jesus underwear or whatever godforsaken thing is supposed to be going on in his community posts.
