I cant overstate how much I love Elons interpretation of "optics"

Speaking at the oval office? gotta bring the rug rat and hold him in 5 square feet for 2 hours while adults talk about things that he cant begin to fathom

Meeting with the India prime minster? "Prisha get the hell in here, you match"

the truly best part is to the 80 iq facebook scrollers actully respond positively to this, saw so many non political people in my sphere post about how Elon with his kid was "the cutest press announcement ever"

Cant wait to hear them talk about how polite it was for Elon to show respect to his culture by bringing out one of his kind to make him more comfortable.

your telling me the people who built it says its safe?

I dont think we have ever seen a nuclear reactor ship of that size hit by another ship of that size, all the reports and facts are nice but this is a real world trial and thats when we find out how "unsinkable" the titanic really is so to speak

Im not saying Im right, im saying it merits watching and remembering that this might be a unique event so far in our history
Just throwing this out there - isn't the reason that, in reactors, they put spent nuclear fuel rods in a pool of water because water is extremely good at smothering the spread of nuclear radiation, IE down to like 20-25 feet?

That is to say, if there was some kind of critical incident at sea where a submarine was sheared in half and sunk to the bottom of the ocean with a reactor on track to melt down, doesn't that problem solve itself, because you're left with a hull at the bottom of the ocean that's only a danger to things within an incredibly small distance of it?

My experience in manufacturing is that women are inescapable in a modern factory environment. All the jobs that were dangerous, physical, or difficult were men. All the jobs that required sitting down in an air conditioned room and doing mundane, tedious tasks were women. Middle management (the people bitching at you to work harder) were all women. Upper management (the people making decisions) were all men.

It's all run like a slave plantation. The men get all the relevant shit done while the women get to stay in the big house so long as they can keep the men from revolting. If you want to see a 5'1 Mexican beach ball with 4in fingernails screaming at the top of her lungs at a 6'3 260lb welder over shit she doesn't have a clue about, get a job at a big factory.

Half the reason trade work has fallen off with young men is that they don't want to work for women that act like men. They forced a shitload of women into the trades over the last 20 years and maybe 20% of them are capable of doing the job. 50% just quit, and the 30% that sucks at the job but refuse to leave get forced into managerial roles because nobody wants them on a job site. Now you've got a woman named Lexus telling you to spit your chew out while you're trying to dig up a culvert pipe. Nobody wants that shit. Let men do men shit and they'll be a lot less miserable all the time.

Let’s be honest, when Trump announced his retarded Gaza idea some people here were doing mental gymnastics to justify why it was a good thing
Must be boomers. I'm sure I'm not the only one with older family that thinks literally anything that comes from Trump or Elon's mouth is gospel.

It was pretty crazy hearing them always talk about how there needs to be more faith in the American worker just on the next day to be spouting to me about how America needs pajeets and chinks to replace the American worker because they're smarter :story: and when Elon was getting pushback about it and started banning people it was all "Elon doin good making those lefties cry!" Even though he was banning mostly conservatives lol.

The same thing happened with Trump and his Gaza plan, they already treat the idea as if it's already a sucess and Gaza is now paradise on Earth within a day because of Trump's holy words.

The point I'm making is that it's not just liberals with Frankenstein brain radio controls, sometimes conservatives are guilty of the same annoying shit. The way I handle it with the boomers in my family is to just nod along and make them feel smart. I've tried disputing them in these situations before and it leads literally nowhere. "Yes, we do need more immigration all the sudden" "yes Gaza is the best and absolutely not a shithole inhabited by rabid animals, we might want to go vacation there ASAP to beat the crowds"

Having thousands of nuclear missiles seems like overkill. Is it just some way to waste money on grifting? I understand maintaining enough for "mutually assured destruction", but after that it is pointless. Not blowing money for no reason is an easy win.
The nuclear proliferation situation is because the math of proliferation isn't based on how many times you can nuke the planet, it's based on a math equation using this logic:

We need enough nukes so that we can nuke the silos of the other side plus have enough left over to also nuke their cities.

So say the enemy had 10,000 silos, each with a nuke. We need 10,000 nukes to destroy those, then also another x number of nukes to take them out.

This means if the enemy builds 1 extra silo, we can no longer fully nuke them effectively, so we need to build another silo too.

You might have a few objections, like:

"But what about mobile nukes like on submarines?"

That sounds like a problem we could solve with even more nukes.

"But what if they become allies with another country that has nukes?"

Sounds like a good reason for doubling our nukes, just in case.

Essentially, the governments were just using spreadsheets to calculate how many nukes we "need", and the answer is "As many as every other country combined, so we can nuke their nukes, plus also enough to nuke every other country, plus a little extra just incase."

RFK just said "restoring our health TO THE GOLD STANDARD"
I hope his first action is to set to one gallon the recommended daily allowance of FUCKING BLEACH for all of his siblings, cousins, nephews, and nieces that opposed his campaign/confirmation (especially those turbo-cunts Kathleen and Caroline).

My experience in manufacturing is that women are inescapable in a modern factory environment.
Women have been in factories since we started using steam, generally doing the lighter assembly work that's now automated. I have 2 distant relatives (like great-great-grandparents or something) who worked in New England cotton mills before coming back home to start a family. Women getting into management is the new thing.

it really was a great stunt
you could announce puppy murder but if you have Musk and Mus(X) doing stupid shit it's gold

Nuclear weapons have a built in shelf life. They are only reliable for so long.
journalists are retarded and don't account for this, so every nuclear weapon ever is kept in the count.
Well, during the Cold War, one of the general expectation for both sides was a massive first strike, which could wipe out the enemy. The solution the military came up with was to have as many weapons as possible so even if you lose 90% of your force in a hypothetical attack, you still have enough nukes left over to make the other guy truly regret his actions.
Thats why concepts such as second strike capability and SLBMs exist
From this article (archive):
*bolded highlights by me
The United States has embarked on a wide-ranging nuclear modernization program that will ultimately see every nuclear delivery system replaced with newer versions over the coming decades. In this issue of the Nuclear Notebook, we estimate that the United States maintains a stockpile of approximately 3,708 warheads—an unchanged estimate from the previous year. Of these, only about 1,770 warheads are deployed, while approximately 1,938 are held in reserve. Additionally, approximately 1,336 retired warheads are awaiting dismantlement, giving a total inventory of approximately 5,044 nuclear warheads. Of the approximately 1,770 warheads that are deployed, 400 are on land-based intercontinental ballistic missiles, roughly 970 are on submarine-launched ballistic missiles, 300 are at bomber bases in the United States, and approximately 100 tactical bombs are at European bases. The Nuclear Notebook is researched and written by the staff of the Federation of American Scientists’ Nuclear Information Project: director Hans M. Kristensen, senior research fellow Matt Korda, research associate Eliana Johns, and program associate Mackenzie Knight.
Truthfully, I don't have enough insight to game-theory the scenario to determine what is actually necessary. Then there is the politicking and dick-measuring. I'd post a Dr Strangelove clip, but I'd rather think about the Trump admin takings W's then nuclear armageddon.

President Donald Trump will sign an executive order on Thursday establishing the Make America Healthy Again Commission, which will be led by newly confirmed Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Fox News Digital exclusively learned. The commission will be chaired by Kennedy and will be "tasked with investigating and addressing the root causes of America’s escalating health crisis, with an initial focus on childhood chronic diseases," the White House explained to Fox News Digital.
The commission, Fox Digital learned, will focus on four policy directives to reverse chronic disease, including providing Americans transparency on health data to "avoid conflicts of interest in all federally funded health research;" prioritizing "gold-standard research on why Americans are getting sick" in all federally-funded health research; working with farmers to ensure food is healthy, as well as affordable; and expanding health coverage and treatment options "for beneficial lifestyle changes and disease prevention."
The commission initially will focus on childhood chronic diseases, such as autism and fatty liver disease, and also investigate adult chronic diseases, such as asthma and the U.S. average life expectancy compared to other nations.
Within 100 days of the commission's founding, it is expected to publish "an assessment that summarizes what is known and what questions remain regarding the childhood chronic disease crisis, and include international comparisons." Within 180 days, it is expected to "produce a strategy, based on the findings of the assessment, to improve the health of America’s children," Fox Digital learned.
#ActuallyAutistic tards screeching right now lol
