These mass firings of federal employees makes me smile broadly enough to break my jaw. For decades now I've heard countless useless fatass "civil servants" brag about how hard it is to lose a government job once you get it.

Looks like you found a way, you useless sacks of dog shit. Get in the bread line and see for yourselves how your fellow lazy coworkers "serve" you.
Not to mention that when they actually swallow their pride and look for unskilled work (because their education and work experience is useless) they'll discover that all the jobs are taken by the illegals they voted for.
But that won't sink in for about eight months, or however long their unemployment benefits and savings last.

You really think they won't simply change the tune of their song to align with the current political climate? Just because they've historically been DNC supporters does not mean they can't be RNC supporters. Any good opportunist (businessman) will tell you that feelings are petty and get in the way of actually maximizing profit.

So, buckle up, I imagine it'll just get worse.
With RFK being so heavily endorsed by his supporters and trumps, the mandate of the people will be so much more compelling than dollars from big food. You asked what would stop the millionaires and billionaires from changing their tune? They already have wealth. What can fast food companies offer? What could Monsanto or taco bell offer RFK to stop his holy war against processed foods? Trump has cosigned RFK in strong terms. I don't see it happening. Rate me optimistic, because I am. I'm on cloud nine of optimism right now. I believe Trump term #2 is a turning point, and I won't have negative nancies raining on my parade >:(

Yeah, but they still let Tulsi and RFK in, but they probably won't let Patel in...just a thought.

Mild PL: I have a pair of friends who're employees of Boeing aerospace contractors several years each. One got laid off this past November from his company, and bemoaned the sorry state of the Boeing over the last few years. They might be interested to see where this goes, because that one wants to see their good name restored and come back to work for them if possible.

I don't know about Taco Bell but Monsanto will straight-up kill a motherfucker. They're one of the biggest corporate cunts on earth, more responsible for food prices, famines and farmer availability than any other entity on this entire planet.

I'd love to see them taken down a few pegs.

Remember what happens after the voluntary separation period? The involuntary separation period.

Never turn down a buyout from your employer. It's a giant red flag that bad things are on the horizon and they're willing to pay you to get away clean. When I heard only 4% took the deal I was a little horrified to realize that 96% of civil servants are actual retards.

Why would the EU have a seat at the table? Are they brokering peace? They've had 4 years. No, the US stupidly funded Ukraine, its the US turn to try to get their money back.
Europe made a deal with the devil to get cheap oil and gas from Russia after America blew up the middle east in the 00s. This allowed Putin to basically rebuild a shattered Russia overnight after the lost decade of the 90s. Something the EU resent mightily since they WANTED a broken, economically and spiritually and militarily Russia.

Ukraine was their chance to do so and they are so far in that they can't back out now because Putin will never forgive Europe for their treachery.

It was not exactly a good omen for their job prospects when the messages about "digging in" started going around in response to the buyout announcement.

Maybe someone else has the screenshots on hand, I don't, but when the buyouts were first announced, the general vibe amongst reedit feds was 'hold the line against orange Hitler! Never accept the buyout!'

But that was during the blitz of trumps first week or so, maybe they thought it wouldn't happen?

The retards thought that some small time judges in RI and NY would be able to stop what's coming, which is fucking laughable.
The 8 month salary for resigning was a great deal. Most people only get 1 or 2 months, if anything at all.

Lolcow crossover: Dev (aka ShortFatOtaku) is really upset that Trump is scaling back on the "soft power" the U.S. has, and negotiating with Putin to end the war in Ukraine. :story:

Shortfatotaku,

Ukraine is losing this war. Perhaps it has one or two more years of fight left in it before the attrition becomes too much. Perhaps it may take even longer, but if Putin is in power they will lose.

Unless you want the EU to send their forces in, along with Canadians, shut the hell up. We are done spilling our blood and wasting our treasure on the inevitable. The first step is that Russia will not accept a peace proposal if Ukraine becomes a NATO member.

So, what is the solution? Spilling EU and Canadian blood or shutting up?
