Perhaps they could turn around California? They're adept at farming in warm climates and used to dealing with ferals and a government wanting them dead. I guess the problem is the bughive regions of Cali might be too far gone, and settling the rural areas with Boers might just prolong the slide into collapse, instead of reversing it.

It’s hyperbolic, therefore, to make the assumption that limiting migration = racism = true actual hatred. If for example, black people generally thought “America is actually alright and I realize my life would be even worse if I returned to Africa, maybe it’s excessive to expect white people en masse to give me money,” it would become less apparent overnight because the complaint list priority would drop through the floor.
