You know what smart scammers typically don't do? Give multiple interviews that make them look terrible and play out how their scam works in a little more and little more detail.

Nobody cares if he passes the polygraph (which he wouldn't, people far smarter have tried and failed). But depending on the questions asked by the interviewer, a lie detector test would only serve to humiliate Phillip.
