I was kind if surprised at how many really dim people I met.

I have no formal education past high school, but did end up doing some contract work at a well regarded university/tech institute and the levels of dim were truly shocking. I taught one certified genius how to use the duplex button on the copier and he treated me like a priest of arcane knowledge. He was beside himself when I showed him it could also collate and staple.

And these people are meant to be smart? Shades of "don't tell him, Pike" going on here.

As I discovered at the aforementioned tech institute, never mistake education for intelligence.

This is the worst article about the Zizians I've read so far, it didn't mention them being trans or vegan (not shocking, being the Guardian) and didn't mention them being rationalists or believing in an AI apocalypse. They just call them 'cultlike' without explaining why. Were they just hoping if they were vague enough, people would think they were Christian?

They also neglect basic information, like Ziz being LaSota's pseudonym, they fail to mention Suri Dao and Michelle Zajko being followers, they also don't mention the guns that Bauckholt and Youngblut had were bought by Zajko, tying the whole case together. They also call LaSota both he and she at different points in the article:

No, literally all of them were some kind of trans. All of them were pretty half-assed, usually just taking hormones, and only a couple of them actually bothered to file the paperwork to change names or gender, and some of them were just using different pronouns online. However, I've seen enough tranny activists to know that putting xe/xem in your Twitter bio is enough to qualify as trans in their eyes.

That's why you see a lot of articles saying "Ziz uses she/her pronouns...", it's because there really is no legal basis for them calling him a woman. His legal name is still Jack LaSota, he is still legally male, he is a 6' 2" man wanted in two states in connection with multiple murders. They're essentially helping disguise a wanted criminal because they care more about being politically correct than informing the public.
