An A1C level of 10% corresponds to an average blood sugar level of 240 mg/dL. This is considered alarmingly high and indicates that diabetes is out of control.

And here we are again.

I'll save you the time. Its been 7 months and SHOCKER she hasn't made any real lifestyle dietary changes.

A1C is 10.

She asked the doctor about her wonky eye and he totally ignored her and didnt address it. So its totally not a thing and she's not dying or having a stroke.
It sounds like all the doctor did was take her A1C and refresh her insulin supply. He don't know nothing about no wonky eye (and it didn't look as wonky in that video). It must be one of those things that comes and goes.

What I found interesting is that she said that they were giving her a box of needles, when she already has TWO boxes at home that she hasn't finished. Methinks someone has been skipping doses, which is how she made her insulin stretch for 7 months. She probably only takes the insulin when she takes her own A1C, which she only does sporadically.

@Botchy Galoop Oops. My bad. I meant BGL.

For reference, chatgpt back of the napkin math suggests that a 10 A1C would indicate about 30.5 grams of glucose in a 400lb woman's body on average.

This is compared to a non-diabetic woman (~5 A1C, ~130lbs) who would have 4 grams of glucose on average.

The A1C is a blood test that gives the Average blood glucose over the previous 3 months.
The tests that Chantal is supposed to take several times a day give the blood glucose reading at the time they are taken. <3

The A1C tells the real tale of how well you are controlling your blood sugar.

Her blood probably looks like corn syrup.

When I said this earlier today, I still wasn't expecting an A1C of 10. Fucking 10. I'm floored.

I have to guess she has barely been taking her insulin at all. This is more typical of what you would see in a patient who had discontinued insulin against medical advice several weeks or months previously. At least we have a good explanation for her precipitously declining vision - she's getting organ damage every single second.

They probably ignored her stroke eye because she doesn't have health insurance and isn't a citizen. They told her fat ass to go back to Canada and speak with her primary care physician for her chronic health issues. No clue why she thinks she can burden the Kuwait healthcare system while doing nothing to properly control her diabetes or change her lifestyle. She is wasting their time.

I think this what happened. She is not a citizen, not even an ex-pat. She is just a visitor on a tourist visa, and they are treating her like an emergency visit. They are not considering all her symptoms, only the ones that need immediate attention. I bet that her kidneys are ready to pack it up, so as her enlarged heart, but these conditions are left to her GP.

I bet that she is perusing TikTok to find the easiest way to look for a solution for her high A1C. As someone mentioned, a juice cleanse, or the cabbage soup diet is up her alley.

From what I can find, an A1C of 10 is an average blood sugar of 240 (13.3 mmol) 24/7 for approx 3 months.

That includes the time she spends sleeping. Her blood sugar is probably routinely 350 to 400 after her huge fast food binges.

If it was anyone other than Chins, I'd assume they were passively suicidal. This is self-harm with food.

When she was in Thailand, she seemed to have brought one vial of insulin for 5 weeks.

She might be frustrated that insulin won't magically fix her beetus. I'm guessing she took a bunch of insulin her first month of the prescription, then tapered off out of laziness

The place she goes knows she's a tourist, so it makes sense they'd only want to patch her up to get her home. They probably don't consider her a long term patient.

I'm surprised the doctor would prescribe her more insulin when it's so obvious she's willfully noncompliant to an extreme. Insulin is dangerous if mishandled. Chantal is the type of person who'd take an extra big dose every now and then to eat a sheet cake.

She would have to be taking huge amounts of insulin to counter all of the carbs that she eats. Giving insulin to Chantal while she eats as she does is like spitting on the ground to put out a wildfire. The more insulin she takes the more insulin resistant she becomes.

I worked with a 400+ lb. deathfat years ago who took the insulin but refused to change her regular diet of baked carbs, fried carbs and sweetened carbs. Even taking 100 units of insulin three times a day her AIC would stay in the 9-10 range.

Summary: The doctor said Guntie's A1C sugar blood level is 10 and totally not 15.9 you guise I don't lie, and also I brought up stroke eye and he laughed and Salah laughed and they both said whoever said your face isn't perfectly sculpted and better than a greek goddess must just be a hater and a troll and a liar and STUPID so stop talking about my massively bulging eye.

She likely has diabetes-related macular edema, which can cause eye bulging. While her doctor should know it could be a consequence of her uncontrolled diabetes, it’s usually diagnosed by an ophthalmologist. I doubt tourists are referred to specialists, and if it’s the same doctor who saw her 6 months ago, he knows there is no point. My guess is he told her to go home to get specialized healthcare and she ignored him.

She’ll eat until she goes blind, has kidney failure, or a heart attack and if she survives those things, she’ll keep eating. Shes a horror cow at this point.
