Damn, her blood is practically molasses with a hint of iron.View attachment 6989911
An A1C level of 10% corresponds to an average blood sugar level of 240 mg/dL. This is considered alarmingly high and indicates that diabetes is out of control.
i love the arrow pointing to the starbucks drink saying it's sugar free. sugar free doesn't mean calorie free. she doesn't need any extra calories going into her body.

It sounds like all the doctor did was take her A1C and refresh her insulin supply. He don't know nothing about no wonky eye (and it didn't look as wonky in that video). It must be one of those things that comes and goes.I'll save you the time. Its been 7 months and SHOCKER she hasn't made any real lifestyle dietary changes.
A1C is 10.
She asked the doctor about her wonky eye and he totally ignored her and didnt address it. So its totally not a thing and she's not dying or having a stroke.

The A1C is a blood test that gives the Average blood glucose over the previous 3 months. She probably only takes the insulin when she takes her own A1C, which she only does sporadically.
Her blood probably looks like corn syrup.
They probably ignored her stroke eye because she doesn't have health insurance and isn't a citizen. They told her fat ass to go back to Canada and speak with her primary care physician for her chronic health issues. No clue why she thinks she can burden the Kuwait healthcare system while doing nothing to properly control her diabetes or change her lifestyle. She is wasting their time.I'll save you the time. I think this what happened. She is not a citizen, not even an ex-pat. She is just a visitor on a tourist visa, and they are treating her like an emergency visit. They are not considering all her symptoms, only the ones that need immediate attention. I bet that her kidneys are ready to pack it up, so as her enlarged heart, but these conditions are left to her GP.They probably ignored her stroke eye because she doesn't have health insurance and isn't a citizen. When she was in Thailand, she seemed to have brought one vial of insulin for 5 weeks.I have to guess she has barely been taking her insulin at all
The place she goes knows she's a tourist, so it makes sense they'd only want to patch her up to get her home. They probably don't consider her a long term patient. They told her fat ass to go back to Canada and speak with her primary care physician for her chronic health issues
She would have to be taking huge amounts of insulin to counter all of the carbs that she eats. Giving insulin to Chantal while she eats as she does is like spitting on the ground to put out a wildfire. The more insulin she takes the more insulin resistant she becomes. When I said this earlier today, I still wasn't expecting an A1C of 10. Fucking 10. I'm floored.
I have to guess she has barely been taking her insulin at all. This is more typical of what you would see in a patient who had discontinued insulin against medical advice several weeks or months previously. At least we have a good explanation for her precipitously declining vision - she's getting organ damage every single second.
