in the straightest way possible, i would watch it if the studio was completely silent and the only noise you could hear is burt himself
I still get goofy nostalgia thinking about hearing fatty singing off in the distance.Just something about seeing everyone go outside followed by hearing laughter from the backyard as the living room sat empty felt like a movie ending
S2s ending felt like a funeralI still get goofy nostalgia thinking about hearing fatty singing off in the distance.
S1 has the best ending in a bittersweet way, S3 is my favorite ending for how absurd it was. S2 was abrupt and appropriate for how dark the overall season was, that house has to be cursed.
best part was Charleston trying to talk to Shinji and he had no clue what the fuck he was saying after Charleston tried fucking Tayleigh.
this is something few people talk about these days, S2 was genuinely hard to watch with how mindnumbingly grim it was, it wasn't even funny or edgy anymore, it was just deppressing for no reason. The last two weeks of season 2 barring a few key moments was a total slog. Production had clearly stopped caring, the fish were tired and miserable and the whole vibe of the house was nightmarish with naked fatty and Frank. I got to the point where I just wanted it to end so I could stop checking the website. I never got to that point with S3 even with the RV bullshit.

i had the exact same reaction when sam hyde broke a cabinet the first time, i known this is an overused reddit term nowdays but it completely subverted the audience expectation of what should happen in a show like this, it seemed like sam had not only physically broken the cabinet but also broken the "social contract" that didn't allow people to just break shit like toddlers having a tantrum.Nothing he did in season 2 was new. Nothing. When Fatty got naked in season 1 I was legitimately shocked. Like "how the fuck are they showing this live?!" shocked. Season 2 it was "Oh Fatty is getting naked again, okay".
The whole atmosphere of the house in that last stretch of S2 was dark in a way that wasn’t even really entertaining. Greg being bullied to tears, Ben being an asshole, Tayleigh being gropped by Frank, the whole cast being just exhausted and miserable and then it finished with Shinji looking like he had a serious head injury. It was all so fucking dark and depressing. I don’t watch Fishtank to be sad. I honestly soured my view of the season for a long time.this is something few people talk about these days, S2 was genuinely hard to watch with how mindnumbingly grim it was, it wasn't even funny or edgy anymore, it was just deppressing for no reason.
S3 still had its moments even in the worst parts, also the ending of S3 was SO much more funny than S2
the only good thing from that season , honestly, was the aesthetic and the accidentally good cinematography, otherwise, jeezThe whole atmosphere of the house in that last stretch of S2 was dark in a way that wasn’t even really entertaining. agreed, thats something they need to do more and i was personally disappointed by in season 3, they sneak peeked so much cool POV shit in s2.5 and never used it in S3 until the las vegas bitI personally loved the fpv cams in season 2. Hearing Greg GULP when he was getting hammered cracked me up
Josie and Letty both being winners after The Cell, Sam delivering his heartfelt speeches after weeks of mental anguish, everyone being freed from their prisons to touch grass and enjoy life again, even Jet milling around the house thinking about the show, it was all very cathartic. Compared to the S2 ending leaving me wondering whether Shinji was gonna die in that basement S1 really did have a perfect endingWhile i don’t think theres ever been a perfect fishtank season ill always believe S1 had a near perfect ending
Just something about seeing everyone go outside followed by hearing laughter from the backyard as the living room sat empty felt like a movie ending
Also there was that sense of “is there actually gonna be a season 2” & “what are the fish gonna do now”
They made a guide for S3 and then promptly ignored it.All three seasons have had the same root issue: Production dropping the ball.
They don't plan out for 6 weeks worth of content beforehand and rely on improv which leads to lower effort content since it's all made up on the spot and eventually burns them out.
Greg was the saving grace of late Fishtank. It’s why I got so pissed off at Frank making him cry.I personally loved the fpv cams in season 2. Hearing Greg GULP when he was getting hammered cracked me up
I can’t remember what day it was but i recall at one point frank made Greg walk out of (B3 ?) by putting fatties shorts in his face and the way Greg leaves the room is one of the funniest things in fishtankGreg was the saving grace of late Fishtank.
