I imagine it's similar to indie wrestling where majority of these minor league level "schools" where you can train or get coached are run by people who either never went anywhere with their careers, or got kicked out of their training place and thought they could do it better and open their own place. They're always going to be willing to take anyone's money that wants to come in. At worst they'll be a scam, but the decent ones are usually at least ok to get some conditioning or to learn basics, but for anyone that's serious they'd do enough research to find a reputable place with connections to help them more. I know if I was trying to be a boxer and I walked in seeing someone like Aaron bouncing around throwing jabs I'd turn around and keep looking.
