You Know What Grinds My Gears? - Things that personally piss you off

Dumb bitches on social media who are suddenly going off about things they know nothing about and never even cared about, but because Trump got elected they’re mad. “Well, what about [random average person issue]? Have you thought about that?” Yes, nigger, I’ve been dealing with that for years. Where were you? More concerned with trannies getting dick-chopping surgeries? Sorry you got fired, I guess, lmao.
This has always been a trend for a long time, with society. When Democrats are elected, then they give less than a shit about societal issues. But when Trump is elected, they lose their fucking minds. Suddenly they're experts on the economy, about federal employment, about civil rights and generally anything else. It just goes to show that they live vicariously through a lot of people and pretend they know the scenarios based on what they read online. While they're likely not affected, unless they're loud about it. Oh, you got fired because you decided to oust yourself for being a tranny? Bye, I guess.

To be clear, I am not mad at the other party when this happens, but rather the situation.

When you are the central hub of planning for a multitude of parties and all but one of them have signed off on the final resolution, but the final party that wraps the matter up neatly in a bow is temporarily unavailable for contact. You negotiate with a multitude of parties with a multitude of interests and negotiate something that seems to work for everyone and you're 99% certain the final party will sign off on it, but the satisfaction of task completion is delayed. It is the equivalent of having a file 99% downloaded, only for it to pause on that final percent for what seems to be an eternity.

You're 99% certain you're done, but that final percentage point just tests your patience.

Idiots who, despite knowing they're infected with something that will easily spread, take zero precautions, being so stupid about it that you'd swear they're doing it deliberately. For the last few days, I've been sick with a throat infection that made me feel like I was going to suffocate, all because someone decided to open cough all over me when I was queuing at a shop this weekend. Even if things like strep and the cold will inevitably spread around if anyone who's infected crosses paths with enough people who aren't, it's not hard to show a little decency and at least try to not give everyone else your germs.

Look, I've had enough of this. If I see that tired, overused copypasta about some celebrity in a supermarket doing the "huh huh huh" routine one more time, I'm throwing my phone down a flight of stairs.

I saw @Captain Syrup at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told her how cool it was to meet her in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother her and ask her for photos or anything.

She said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but she kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing her hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard her chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw her trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in her hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Ma'am, you need to pay for those first.” At first she kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, she stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, she kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Like it or not this is a direct product of COVID denialism/pushback against harm reduction methods that everyone interpreted as totalitarian control in 2020. Not that people were less gross or careless before 2020 but it's cranked up to 11 now. Nobody gives a fuck.

Getting training at work for how to support beaners escape ICE and everyone in the room acting as if we're all good libruls here. Work friend turned to me during the training to say breathlessly, "This is so scary!"
Our profession is acutely affected by Project Infinite Beaners and I for one would like there to be less of them, so I don't know why everyone in the room was so excited to thwart the Feds by protecting the very people that make our jobs difficult.

In a related story I saw a short procession of anti-ICE demonstrators walking down the main road and one fat bitch was holding a sign that admonished, "Respect who feeds you." Yeah I've never seen a cow like that in the field picking my strawberries before, get out of here.

Can't you just report your company to ICE?

I would love to send the handouts and emergency card they gave us to ICE, but haven't figured out how. Was intending to scan them in and post it somewhere but I'm not that bright to avoid outing myself.
I find it pretty funny that no one is giving us digital copies of things and we're being explicitly told not to create a digital papertrail of our discussions on the matter. Really grinds my gears.
