Attention paid to India and her people has been rising in the public consciousness these last couple years, as evidenced in this very thread, so I thought I'd take a moment to share with you all a part of its ancient culture. It's a subject that everyone can agree is important: hygiene.
Regularly practicing these simple exercises will lead not only to a healthier, more hygienic lifestyle, but also magic powers like clairvoyance and levitation. Thank you for sharing a part of Indian culture with me today.
Neti, cleansing the nasal cavity. Comes in two varieties,

Basti, cleansing the colon. Comes in two practices,
Trāṭaka, looking at something until your eyes hurt.
And the two extra practices for the conscientious young Indian especially dedicated to upholding the subcontinental value of hygiene,
Cakri: Dilate your anus by vigorously moving your finger around inside it.
Gajakarani: Drink a lot of sugar water then vomit it up.
1. Sutra Neti: Floss the sinuses by running a length of string through a nostril and out of the mouth, or out of the other nostril.
2. Jala Neti: Irrigate the sinuses by pouring water through one nostril and out of the other.
Dhauti, cleansing the digestive tract. Comes in four complex operations,1. Antara Dhauti, or internal cleansing,
a. Vatasara: Swallow an immense amount of air and do a headstand before expelling it violently from your anus.
b. Varisara: Drink a lot of salt water until your body can't take it anymore and you shit it all out.
c. Agnisara: Rub your belly and pant like a dog until you feel warm.
d. Bahishkrita (for advanced practitioners): Stand in a lake and turn your asshole inside-out, then clean it.
2. Danta Dhauti, or dental cleansing,
a. Danta Mula: Clean your teeth with a stick.
b. Jihva Mula: Clean your tongue with a stick.
c. Kapalarandhra: Jam your thumb into the back of your throat and rub the soft palate.
d. Karna: Clean your ears with a stick.
3. Hrida Dhauti, or "chest" cleansing,
a. Danda: Take a long stick and shove it down your throat.
b. Vaman: Vomit three hours after eating.
c. Vastra: Swallow a length of cloth until it hits your stomach, then yank it out.
4. Mula Shodhana, or rectal cleansing,
a. Shove turmeric up your ass.
Nauli, massaging the internal organs by flexing your abdominal muscles. Demonstrated in this visual aid:
