Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

Can anyone drum up what is the map gonna look like after all this blows over?

If Ukraine surrendered now Russia will annex all of Kherson, Zaporozhia, Lugansk, and Donetsk.
If they keep fighting then they might lose places like Chernigov, Dnipro or Odessa. The absolute worst scenario for them will see Russia take the entire coastline and leave Ukraine landlocked, either completely in Galicia or still based in Kiev, with the Dnieper serving as a natural border as it did during the days of the Commonwealth.
Is there any indication kiev might gain relevant territory in the next few weeks? - say kherson or even donetsk city? I heard donetsk oblast is pretty spotty regarding russia's grip on it... I'm wondering if trump might have reason to blueball putin a little longer to give zelensky a little more territory... which would be a shit sandwich for the peeps on the ground, obviously...

I'd say there's a 0% chance of Ukraine making any relevant offensive action because Ukraine doesn't have the men to capture and hold territory.

I think a lot of people don't realise just how bad it is for the Ukrainians on the ground.

Love the newcomers that show up and ask questions like this war is going both ways.

"But what if Ukraine got the infinty stones...durrrr"

How? This isn't a war for territory it's a war to demilitarize Ukraine.
The rts crowd never ceases to view war as a video game complete with performance objectives. I'd crack a joke about thread tourism, but this is more like a HOI discord raiding our thread and acting all smug that neither faction has achieved complete victory through influence points.

Since the failure of the offensive in summer of 2023, the only significant offensive action from the Ukrainian side has been the Kursk incursion. The odds of them having enough left to push on a strategic objective after artificially extending the front line as they did are... low.

Has the left actually explained why Trump demanding peace in the Ukraine is harmful to Our Democracy™? Or its it just "Putin le bad" because he banned their trannies and burger jew financial wizardry in favor of ruski jew financial shenanigans? Seems the latter worked out for them.
Just screeching about how this is proof that Trump takes marching orders from Putler and Moscow. Putler is a dictator and Trump looks up to him. That is the only thing I've seen.

Anything less than incinerating the entirety of the Russian Federation through nuclear ordinance is seen as confirmation that Donald Trump is literally Putin's very own gimp.

My old man's friend has a bad case of Trump derangement syndrome. My pops told me his long time friend is absolutely seething about Trump asking for billions worth of rare earth minerals from the Ukrainian government. Which gets me thinking, do libtards not realize how loans work? Did people think that the craziness of the Biden-Harris admin would continue infinitum? The fucking party is over.

Also, watching a German diplomat cry while delivering a speech, what the fuck happened to Europeans? What a bunch of fucking pussies.

Okay, I read through the last few pages and lemme see if I got Trump's plan clearly (since my dad keeps dooming about "muh Chamberlain"):

Trump is brokering a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine for two reasons: Ukraine has lost significant manpower (enough to the point where they cannot maintain a foothold on whatever territories they control), and to slowly cripple BRICS (and by proxy China) by reopening US-Russia relations.

Naturally the only critics of this plan are people still stuck mentally in the Cold War (the Autocrats Democrats, Europe, boomers who get their news from CNN), but one valid point is that the last time the USA and Russia tried to talk it out, Russia was in bad shape afterwards, though I'd personally chalk this up to irreconcilable cultural differences even before Stalin.
