Ukrainian Defensive War against the Russian Invasion - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

It seems increasingly likely that Trump is on Putin's side and is essentially an enemy to Ukraine (the gall of either Trump or Putin to call Zelenky a dictator) and Europe. I or no one can wholly discount that Trump would try force Ukraine to surrender that vast (30%) area of Ukraine Russia claims, but does not control and would veto even Euro peacekeepers (he did endorse peacekeepers but it seems his intent is to give Russia everything it wants) as his hero Putin wants the remnant Ukraine to be something he can take at will later, if Trump tires of taking 50% of all Ukraine has. It should be emphasized that Rubio was a bitch, faggot and a minion at the Riyadh meeting.

Zelensky has shown extraordinary restraint in the face of provocation from the reliably awful Vance, Thiel's onetime backside friend. The full lifting of sanctions is envisaged too, contrary to prior (misleading) indications that sanctions could be increased. Again I hope to be fully wrong and that the US will not outdo Chamberlain (Riyadh the new Munich?), that Trump will conduct himself correctly and honorably. The day is still young, but there no good recent indicator of anything less than betrayal of brave Ukraine. Trump's figures are also insanely wrong and change everytime he rambles.

We will see.....

Damnit Trump, I wanted a winner not a negotiator...
Worse. This sounds more like capitulation than negotiation.

It makes the US sound weak and duplicitous, an unreliable partner that will switch sides for personal gain. If I were Putin I'd play the game and kiss ass for a while to get sanctions dropped and get that foreign investment and hard currency rolling in and then pull the mother of all screw-jobs when the moment is right.

Anyone who thought that Trump was going to stand strong against Putin on Ukraine is retarded.

Dude had Mike Johnson and the other Republicans voting against Ukraine aid before he won in 2024.

The man wants to go to war over Gaza, and the Ukraine war is a distraction in his mind.

So no shit, the man will feed Ukraine to the Russian dogs if it gives him an ally in Moscow.

The problem for him is that it might not be up to America. The EU can keep funding Ukraine until Russia falls, and given how small Russia's economy is and how dependent they've become on foreigners like North Korea and China, it's way too late for Trump to pull out now.

Just as Putin gave new life to NATO, Trump's America gave new life to BRICS. None of Trump's tariffs are going to hurt the countries he wishes to hurt; not when they can just trade with each other and embargo America. That would just leave the American consumer in a shittier spot, but Trump being a rich man with rich friends, he won't care.

Unfortunately, the UK and most of EU will do whatever the U.S says. Let’s wait and see what happens when Keir Starmar and Macron visit Trump in a couple days and see if their opinions or strategies change.

I’ve always wanted the UK/EU to be less reliant on America but ever since WW2, we’ve been sitting on our hands and sucking our thumbs.

Yeah the hope now is that the EU figures out their arse from their elbow and keeps Ukraine going till the eventual Russian collapse. It would be funny seeing Trump seethe once the dust settles. Still this is all up in the air and reliant on mainland euros who are famously retarded as of late.

Not with America openly antagonizing them on economics. At this point, the EU has already seen America under Trump as an enemy.

You do realize it's no longer about JUST Ukraine, right?
It's also about the rest of the world, which right now, they're mad at America's insane trade war and Gaza schemes.

Both sides of the Atlantic are teeming with people who are fairly retarded. A lot of people in America voted for Trump even though abandoning Ukraine was one of his campaign promises. But at least a lot of those voters right now are suffering the consequences of their actions. Especially economically, since they live in Red states that rely on government welfare and exporting goods overseas. Trump just killed their economy.

>We obviously truly honestly truthfully earnestly love the Ukrainian people but you need to lie down and let Russia steamroll you

Class A disingenuous gaslighting coming from Pudgy Vance which just so happens to coincide with the zigger position. The truth is that he doesn't care because he, Donald and other Vlad ball washers value having an ally in Moscow more.

Yes, that and Trump's team basically is implementing assorted losers' of the world dream - a multipolar world - a power vacuum begging to be filled. Usually, that means intrigue and war on a planetary scale.

Trump does a 360
As history has shown, for the right price, he will change his stance on almost anything. This may be the exception though. He loves sucking off dictators.

Anyone who thought that Trump was going to stand strong against Putin on Ukraine is retarded.
Agreed. There were posters here trying to argue that Trump wouldn't be awful for Ukraine's future, as though this wasn't going to happen.

Unfortunately, the UK and most of EU will do whatever the U.S says.
I don't believe this will be the case from now on. This betrayal has to resonate and wake Europe up to the fact that the U.S. has abandoned them now.

No, see, this is all Obama and Biden's fault. They didn't stop Trump, so they are to blame now. For the red states that voted to destroy the federal government and its support for the states, they meant to only cut off support to blue states. The wrong people are being hurt, so now it's a problem.

Anyone could just look at the past few years and note that Trump was Putin-friendly.

It's probably going to lead to an embargo, not a war. The rest of the world will just trade with each other. Latin America, the EU, Africa, and the Asian states would just trade with each other more and just avoid America to avoid Trump's tariffs.

Unless they're planning to turn Moscow against China, that ally won't serve them much. Maybe it'll be a good place for them to flee to once the Americans get fed up with their shit and toss their asses out of the country. Trump and Vance can pull a Steven Seagal. Especially now that their popularity is taking a hit.

Which they will not get unless they manage to abolish elections in the US, and even then, Trump is old and infirm now. Who knows how long he could rule.

The only thing that would permanently split China and Russia apart would be if China decides to invade Siberia. Nothing Trump does can cause that split. Especially since all it takes is for Trump to be outvoted or impeached, and all Russia's dealings with him could be for naught. Whereas Xi is staying in power until he dies, so that would keep things more stable.

America can shit the bed all it wants, but Ukraine doesn't NEED to listen to the retard in the White House.
Yes, but America dropping the ball is bad for America.
I want Ukraine to win because Ukraine winning is good for America.

Worse. This sounds more like capitulation than negotiation.
It's Appeasement 2.0.
It's a lion fucking over its cubs to appease hyenas, and I fucking hate it.

No, see, this is all Obama and Biden's fault. They didn't stop Trump, so they are to blame now.
Well yeah because their internal policies were fucking retarded at best and malicious at worst.
You treat your people like shit, then wonder why they vote for the other guy. You fuck the economy, try to gaslight people struggling to make ends meet that "akychyally chuds, the economy is doing great!" and wonder why your party loses power.
Further, Obama and Biden were never pro-Ukraine. Obama was the absolute treasonous faggot who suggested that Russia (+ China, Iran et al.) had a """sphere of influence""" to be respected in the first place. Biden, albeit at the puppeteering of Jake Sullivan, was the "slow drip" guy who gave Ukraine just enough to keep them in the fight but not enough to actually make a difference.
A vote for cackling Kamala was never a vote for Ukraine.

A vote for cackling Kamala was never a vote for Ukraine.
Actually, it would've been. Kamala doesn't know shit about what to do, she'd just continue Biden's policy of funding Ukraine until Russia falls because it's the "correct" thing to do; she'd be too afraid to offend the EU. So if Kamala were in the White House now, you can bet your ass the bitch would be signing off on more billions to be sent to Ukraine.

On one hand I understand Trump. Ukraine is utterly irrelevant to the US. It has no of value to offer to the US and costs a lot to keep going. This kinda applies to the entirety of Europe kinda, we’ve been diligently working to make ourselves irrelevant in global politics since the 90’s.

The US has a ton of domestic issues that need to be fixed by yesterday, theres a war in Gaza that is more important to their interests because a big war in the middle east would fuck up trade, and israel is getting nowhere. That’s what the US has to deal with.

I don’t think anyone in the west was ready for history to start again and Ukraine bore the brunt of it. Everyone in the west needs to regroup or start learning mandarin. Sending all the hardware to get blown up in Ukraine isnt the best idea at the moment.

Not maxed out but not much space left before hitting the ceiling. For America that particular ball is in Trump's court now. With roughly half of the U.S. aid supposedly not reaching Ukraine, damn near certain Trump is not going to send any more aid until after his DOGE team find out where the missing aid went to.
They should probably check Raytheons bank account, or consider the fact we never even sent it to begin with.
