Nick confirmed that the baseball bat incident happened, but in Nick's version, Aaron had the bat because he was afraid of Nick because Nick is so much taller and stronger. Depends if you can frame it as relevant to the case.
For example Nick having a hate boner for the accused makes him biased, so dragging him through the mud to make his testimony worthless should be ok to a certain degree.

What could Nick possibly testify about in this case?
  • Who took the picture, but only if Nick was the one to take it or send it.
  • If the State has the photo, he could testify that it is indeed his wife (although maybe Kayla would have to do that)
  • If the picture was sent into a group (Signal) message that he was part of, he could testify that it existed and Aaron had access. If so, any agreement about sharing stuff. (Likely not written anywhere.)
  • Any direct impact to him (as Kayla would have to testify about the impact to her)
  • Background information that NICK SAW about the qover
  • Any supposed harassment Nick suffered from Aaron.
It's just such a nothing burger. If the message wasn't sent in a group message and Nick didn't take it, I don't even know they need to call him. But Lord help the State if they do... Actually no, fuck the State. It's a shit law and a shit case to bring forward.
