Yes, we stagnated so hard that we invented GPS, landed on asteroids, redirected asteroids, and have the most powerful telescope in orbit. We did not have to "rediscover" anything. I ask again: what the fuck are you talking about, dude?
I think they’re referencing the space shittle program where the public was never outright told that we had given up the capacity for manned space flight past the ISS.

I myself felt a little betrayed when I realized that, and weirdly it wasn’t until I was in my 20’s and reading about early proposals regarding the Orion capsule project

Nah, not monarchy. Republican Empire.
Nah fuck that, peoples elected monarch. If the monarch gets out of line in his tenure, thats what the most guns per nation is for

Im so sick of the common mans life being made worse by vasilating politicians linning their own pockets

I want my government to be as small and efficient as possible

I'm talking about for manned deep space flight, a heavy lift vehicle and a deep space suits. Both of which have been shelved for so long that we had to start from scratch.

The problems you listed earlier of the difficulty of manned deep space missions would be further along of being solved, mitigated, or tackled if there was an active monetary and immediate need, imo.

Honestly, I'm still struggling to get my point across right. I don't think this did it either. Should I just PM you later about it or do you want me to drop it?

Wouldn't Republican EMPIRE still be a monarchy? Emperor is a hereditary title as well.
Yes, it would still be monarchy but each body of the system will act as check and balances. Technically Britain is still a monarchy but the king/queen is lameduck waste of garbage.

Republican Empire is what founding fathers wanted in the end. George Washington could have been a king but he refused.

Ok I got to call out the populist Trump types here and ask some questions.

1: You say that Elon's comment about giving every American 5000 dollars would not cause inflation and would not be a big deal, but republicans kept saying how the war in Ukraine was costing America to much money even though giving every American 5000 would cost more then America has spent on Ukraine the entire war.

2: How does America giving up on Ukraine benefit America ? ?Ukraine talked about a 500 billion dollar mineral deal meanwhile giving up would on America nothing and make all the previous money spent a waste.

3: Be honest why do you hate European countries so much ? The majority of Americans are European and even if you are not as an American Europe is your spiritual motherland. If you want to be able to keep up with China at a time when China is making inroads with other countries for deals you can't alienate your base, if you want to support Israel (I don't know why you would but the majority of Trump voters do) then you shouldn't alienate Europe t a time when more and more are getting stick of Israel and recognizing Palestinian state hood.
1. 1.5 trillion to give 5k to every adult. 834 billion to give 5k to every tax payer. The latter is more than twice than what was given to Ukraine, but would benefit the American people infinitely more, no?

2. Helping Ukraine fight a war they couldn't ever hope to win by grinding their male population into paste with the help of the American taxpayer does more damage to both Ukraine and the USA than the USA forcing a peace by threatening to cut off support. And what's Ukraine going to do? Not to business with America because they were a bit mean? That's cutting off your nose to spite your own face.

3. I can't answer for Americans, but it's very easy to deduce why. In the UK, everyone outside of London hates London. The population are the most full of themselves, adhere to hyper progressive politics and look down on the rest of the country. Now imagine the insufferable capitals of every European nation speaking in unison, emphasising their own arrogance and perceived superiority whilst being dismissive of America, so immersed in their own pride that they are not only ignorant to how the rest of their own country perceives them, how restrictive their lives actually are, and how their political causes are contributing to the downfall of their nation, but also of how interlinked their country is with the United states and how much America contributes to their quality of life, even if indirectly. I haven't even touched on the politicians who often come from these people, such as the Germans who laughed at Trump when he told them that an energy crisis was incoming way back when. I like to think - and hope - that the combination of insufferable haters, liberals and politicians hasn't completely marred people's opinions here of all Europeans, and that when they speak with disdain, it's about those people, not all of us.

i found your problem
Yup. Money gets cheaper the more of it you already have.

We are now witnessing streamers responding to the reponses to the responses to the responses.
Youtube used to have a "video response" feature baked right into the UI. Reaction/response video exchanges used to have their own dedicated "pipeline."

It probably deserves its own thread somewhere, to be honest. There are plenty of people on this website who would love to sperg about outer space and NASA.

Whoa, if this is real than really, holy shit.

8% compunded over 5 years is like 50%.
Alright, I'm yielding again. I know there was a huge highlight post of mine that got clowned on, but another Kiwi made me curious and I did my research and I found out I was completely wrong about federal funding for public education in many states so bear with me.

But I might at least be neutral or passively supportive of this administration now. Assuming they actually follow through with what is essentially a threat to the cushiony military establishment and reallocate the funds appropriately, this will be one of the biggest reinvestments in our people I've ever seen.

I'll double down and just go full Trump if he cedes more power to the States and relegates the fed to being a bipartisan mediator between the states with federal law being something all states can unanimously, or as closely as unanimously, agree upon.

Holy shit.

How does the US burning more money on Ukraine benefit the US?
There is no amount of money you can spend that can make Ukraine win this war. Russia simply has more men than Ukraine. Russia has a pop of 140 million, Ukraine has 40 million. Ukraine needs a 3.5 to 1 K/D and haven't achieve that except at the very start of the war and hasn't been repeated since.
There is no further benefit from weakening Russia as Russia is still too weak to threaten NATO states. And should Russia get too weak it may lead to China taking over parts of Russia or a balkanization of a nuclear power.
Keeping the war going achieves nothing more than wasting money for the US and getting Ukrainians and Russians killed. The only people who benefit from the war sustaining is weapons manufacturers and maybe China.

I know there's a lot of talk about wanting to ban junk food and soda from being able to be purchased on EBT. The problem with regulating what the peasant class can and can't do is that when does it stop? First they'll say you can't buy shit with EBT. Then they'll start regulating what you can and can't use Social Security funds for.

Look. I get the idea of wanting to make food and other shit healthy again, but shotgunning and going all militant about it is a good way to get the people (who were initially on your side) pissed off all over again. In the end, no one will do shit. You need to give people a choice. You can give them the information, it's up to them exercising their own free will over it. You can't just force someone into a new way of living and expect it to go well. See what happened with Prohibition?

When they use their own money
