I agree that you'd expect someone pursuing something this life-altering to do extensive research, but on Reddit (and most social media), discussions are dominated by ideologues whose goal is more troonery at any cost. Not just the usual "affirming" ratchet of delusional positivity, but actively attacking any suggestion that there might be downsides:
Some of the replies are wild. Other dood-bros asking who the surgeon is (obviously to avoid the same outcome), and getting downvoted with replies saying "Mind yo bidness!"

The only time I’d actually suggest nullo. As long as you’re pissing and shitting fine, don’t try to go back. a) It will never be the same and b) not worth the risk of extra scar tissue or further nerve damage or infection.
