My guess is that his lawyers advised him generally as to what he should/should not include in a statement but I kinda doubt they would have read through and approved 12 pages of destiny tier nonsense but who knows.

Then again lawyers have an obligation to provide sound/ethical legal advice to their clients that have their clients best interest in mind but they aren't their clients babysitter. It isn't their fault if their client disregards advice and continues to act retarded.

Also if he is going to pay his lawyers to actually review his manifesto for him, that would be expensive. Actual legal reviews aren't just like some grammar check. Destiny likes to have links to images and other sources in his documents. Actual law firms typically pay some type of investigator who can check over and document logs and video for authenticity / accuracy. And then that person or persons could be called as witnesses for authenticity of the evidence later if the other side questions it. This is absolutely not cheap and especially not cheap if Destiny is looking to publish things quickly. This is something typically done by some crisis management firm. Do we know who Destiny's lawyers are yet?

I genuinely think that Destiny hasn't been completely honest to them. I seriously doubt that he has confessed them: "look, I've sexted with hundreds of women during the past few years, and I've distributed Pxie's video to dozens upon dozens of women, but I've also sent multiple other sextapes without consent of completely unrelated women, who might also sue me in the future. Also, if this goes to Discovery we are fucked."

Also, I don't know how his billing works but shooting off a "quick" question to people who bill you hourly is typically not a good idea if done regularly. I think this is just another example of Destiny being reckless and short sighted. Rushing to failure with this manifesto.

1 minute phone call? Two-sentence email with a two-sentence response? That's 15 minutes billable. Lawyers who work for an hourly rate bill in 15 minute increments. Each phone call, each email, they're all 15 minutes apiece. If they're honest. If they're not they'll hit you with the full hour

When you have a lawyer on retainer they work off the amount in the retainer. He said he's already paid out about 40k in legal fee's and said he's hired 2 separate firms, this is probably the total of having 2 firms on retainer for him. When the lawyers are on retainer they usually only bill for official lawyer duties, not a couple texts or calls.

i have a couple clips i made a while ago and i think there's a good chance he recycles this line, "if i was more emotional, this is where i'd cry" while trying to paint himself as the victim (unless he switches the script last second after seeing this post)
