I don't know about that. I think he is assuming Milei & co will give him protection of some kind or he will get preferential treatment in court. Given how much of an issue this seems to have become in Argentina they may fuck him just to make an example of him (really hard to say because I don't know enough about Argentine politics to really understand how big of an actual deal this is). For certain, Milei doesn't want a single fucking thing to do with the guy already so if he gets extradited it may turn out worse for him.

I'm not sure what charges he could be liable for within the US but assume they could include US jail/prison time (thereby invoking mutt's law) - but considering it is a non-violent, white collar crime he could probably just keep his mouth shut and stay out of jail/prison and get a fairly lenient sentence (which SBF/FTX failed to do and got rammed, hard).

On the other hand, this moron already did a few interviews and added a cement truck full of evidence on top of the grave he dug for himself. The biggest thing though is likely that most investors were probably US-based in the first place and he also made statements indicating he was involved with fuckery with other prominent US memecoins.

Will be interesting to see what happens. Milei has argued that basically no Argentines even bought the memecoin (which is very likely true) so I can't see them putting a huge amount of effort in to try and "save" poor little Hayden.


Earlier today, a joke crypto account put out a joke tweet saying that Hayden had killed himself after being cyberbulliled/interviewed by Coffeezilla:

If he does bring the $100MM to the country he could spin it in his favor saying he basically stole from the gringos, robin hood mentality its pretty big in LATAM. And like I said before the economy isn't doing great down there and most companies are still wary that its all a house of cards. Some gringo shows up with $100MM or more as foreign investment I'll doubt they'll care where it comes from. He might get some bullshit like house arrest and probation for a couple of years, meanwhile over here...

Plus it has gone international with a foreign president who's connected directly to Trump so even more motivation to turn him into a prison bitch.

That's only really partially true about FTX. They did have real investments but they also had so many shell companies that the SBF fag (CEO) was proud to say the company was impossible to audit. They also did similar shit with trying to cozy up to politicians and political parties (both inside and outside of the US). When their funds were frozen in China or someplace, they tried to avoid paying a bribe by getting Thai tranny hookers to do KYC on accounts. SBF/FTX also spent billions on sponsoring sports teams and getting famous actors to do ads and endorsements to basically buy themselves legitimacy. From what I remember they were doing very scammer/insider shit for a long time before they imploded.

SBF/FTX also very much "went international" but their corporate structure and the knock-on effects of them cratering took several weeks until everyone even understood what was going on. Hayden and Milei are a bit less fortunate in that this memecoin scam was so short-lived and directly tied to such a small pool of people that it is difficult for them to avoid legal retribution.

So yeah two very different cases but also quite similar at the same time. From what I recall memecoins didn't really exist at the time of SBF/FTX so its likely they avoided this kind of fraud to begin with, but they were definitely doing similarly underhanded/dodgy shit the entire time.

The only reason "investments could be used to pay investors back" was that they made some moonshot AI investments but investors did not get paid back 1:1 on the crypto they held, only the US dollar value of it at the time the company imploded. They're just starting or will shortly be starting to get paid back btw, which will likely fuck over the cryptocurrency market yet another time.

Hayden is the one that's royally screwed here because he was a scammer and proud of it, Milei can always pretend he got conned and in any case blame his sister for not looking this guy up before taking the "sponsorship money".

I'm well aware of the FTX case and all the tricks they used but again most of that financial fuckery could be alleged to be in a gray zone and the AI investments were sort of a miracle that probably prevented bankman from getting life like madoff, but in this case its a straight up scam and hayden has practically already admitted to it, he really has no leverage at all. Going to Argentina would at least give him the possibility of bribing his way out of decades in a US prison.

Don't disagree with most of what you said but it's not just Hayden. Hayden is just the face of it. There are 2-3 companies knee deep in shit and there are also the faggots from the "LA Vape Cabal" that are also associated with shit.
A lot of them are saying shit in public and trying to push the blame away but I'm sure they're gonna start ratting on each other as soon as the feds come knockin'

Basically anyone who was an "insider" (because Hayden didn't do everything alone) may also be turbo fucked just as hard as Hayden at this point.

It'll be like NFTs where they keep trying to do stuff but unless they can make "fair launches" or give them some actual utility. The retail interest in them will have greatly diminished given how much has been revealed to have been bullshit and its very likely a lot of it was wash trading/price manipulation anyway. People are gonna be going to jail along with the large amounts of money they were shoving into the market.

So they'll continue but its unlikely the insanity of the past while with memecoins will continue because too many people have been burned from the experience. There are other varieties of celebrity-attached memecoins that can work, but that kind of idea is still in its infancy.
