This reminds me of something I thought of the other day. When Brick Tannen Brett Bayer asked Trump if he considered Vance his heir apparent and Trump went straight to NO, there's probably some calculus there in how, once Trump does pick a successor (more or less) that's going to put a huge target on them. Like, if Trump had said YES, then JD would need constant, high-level security for the next 4 years.

There should be infinite terms but if you lose any election after the second by a certain percentage/EC vote you get hanged in public with no trial. Gives incentive to actually do what the public want but also discourages politicial dynasties.

It's also telling that they can watch something as offensively inoffensive and noncommittal as Civil War and think "Ah yes, this is clearly a veiled affirmation of what I specifically am projecting onto it" rather than "these pussies are afraid to say anything about anything for fear of losing money".

Somebody said liberals have no grasp of the theory of mind and I don't want to make generalizations like that but they certainly don't make it easy for me.

Honestly I would've expected the Reddit managing company to start cracking down on that but I may be too optimistic. At this point Reddit may get branded as a terrorist website and get shut down.

The other day I was thinking about how Full Metal Jacket could never be made today, and it’s weird to think that the whole “me so hoooohny” part was MOST LIKELY based on an anecdote Kubrick heard from someone he knew IRL, because he was ocd with attention to detail shit.

So racism is part of the tableau of that movie, and it ends up being a theme, but in a way that’s so natural in comparison to this shit where you’re beaten over the head with it that modern leftists would think it was unbearably intentionally racist
