the worse part is that's almost 30 years of guitar playing right there. David's been plinking away at this guitar thing for 30 fucking years as his sole reason for living and he still plays like a 16 year old with his first guitar.

I can't for the life of me figure out if Davey really loves playing the guitar that much or it's just his crutch for why he never got a real job or a real life. I get that he loves the idea of being a misunderstood starving artist but I also think that he uses it as the reason why he never tried to make a real life for himself, his guitar is also his excuse for his failed life.

No no no child, I'm not a 45 year old man-child living off of welfare because I'm too lazy/stupid to get a real job. I'm a misunderstood artist who sacrificed everything for my art!!

Really part of me thinks that David clings to his guitar playing to defend his ego from reality.

If he actually realized for just one single minute that he threw away his life because he wanted to hurt his parents for whatever stupid reason lives in his head rather then this whole misunderstand genius guitar player who just had to pursue his art no matter what schickt then he would just collapse into ego death. It's more then doubling down, it's a straight out rejection of the facts of reality to preserve his sense of self.

Wait till he find out Momma and Pappa left him out of the will. All that cash he's waiting for to just drop in his lap when they kick the bucket is not going to happen. I do wonder how he will handle that not that I wish anything ill towards his parents who seem like normal decent folks.

Narcissism and practising an instrument do not easy bedfellows male. The whole point of practicing is to improve. But if you're already perfect at everything there's no point, is there? Proper NPD will make your scratching sound like the second coming of Eddie Van Halen to your own ears.

Nice gripe/ beg. Idiot literally counts his gas and the (needed regardless of this event) batteries for his own amp as an "expense." And fool, when you volunteer, yes, you pay your own way there and back. That's how it works, absent doing volunteer work through your corporate employer (if you had one) or other large sponsor, beyond a tshirt or something.

If Paulist Dave were loving his parents without accounting, he'd be grateful for what they've given him and not thinking about how much or how little it was. He'd hope they were always certain that his love for them was without accounting, too.

Maybe Dr. Joe just started waving spreadsheets around because he's a weirdo, too, but maybe that happened after Dave blew the roof off the house yowling about how he never gets any monnnnnnnney.

Delusion is a helluva drug.

Dave really shouldn't talk about money after he stalked his parents and tried to harass/extort five figures out of them otherwise he's make false allegations against his father.

Dave doesn't keep track of the money he takes from others without their permission either, such as charging unauthorized things to his parents accounts. He doesn't see any reason he should keep track of his larceny.

He’s mentioned it before. It’s why he always has that creepy, demure closed mouth smile in his selfies. Dr. Joe is cruelly denying Dave dental coverage to get it fixed as part of his relentless adult child abuse campaign against his helpless poor disabled daughter.

I'm pretty sure there is a state dental school in Columbia. Since he's on Medicaid he could get a bridge put in for basically pocket change. Like probably around $150.

-EDIT- I got curious and double checked my self, turns out he will have to drive the whole hour and a half (literally all interstate) to get to the dental school in Kansas City for the essentially free dental services.

For him it is truly an extraordinary talent. Not a useful or helpful one, but it is a talent, none the less.

It's sorta like his guitar playing, as he continues to try he actually seems to be getting worse.

Imagine a curse where putting any effort into improving at anything just makes you worse at it...
