Speaking of declassified files, weren't the JFK files etc. supposed to be out by now?

EDIT: Looks like they're still sifting/declassifying, public hearing slated for end of March.

WASHINGTON—Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.), the chairwoman of the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, today provided an update on the panel’s efforts to declassify documents of public interest and sent a letter to Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Attorney General Pam Bondi, National Security Advisor Michael Waltz, and White House Counsel David Warrington requesting an update on the plan to declassify documents under President Trump’s executive order on “Declassification of Records Concerning the Assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.”

In that letter, Rep. Luna requested a briefing for the task force on February 26, 2025, regarding the declassification of records pertaining to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and on March 17, 2025, regarding the declassification of records pertaining to the assassinations of Senator Robert F. Kennedy and Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. In addition to the briefings, she has requested, in writing, a hard date on when the documents President Trump ordered declassified will be made available to both the Task Force and public as well as where they are to be publicly located.

“All federal agencies are cooperating with the Task Force and will provide the requested briefings in the coming weeks. As we work to understand the full scope of federal documents related to key national secrets, we are preparing for the Task Force’s first hearing on March 26, which will examine the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. In advance of the hearing, the Task Force will visit the assassination site in Dallas and speak with first-hand witnesses regarding President Kennedy’s assassination. We remain committed to delivering the transparency that Americans demand from their government,” said Rep. Luna.

On February 11, House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) and Rep. Luna sent 11 letters to several agencies requesting briefings by February 18 on documents in their possession pertaining to the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr; COVID-19 origins; unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) and unidentified submerged objects (USOs); 9/11; and the Epstein client list.

The Task Force’s first hearing, scheduled for March 26, will be open to the public and the media. Further details will be announced soon.

My family is from Apple Country in the PNW. It's an open secret that they hire illegals at the warehouses. They don't care. They're warned before ICE raids and move people from the warehouses to the orchards and vice versa.

If Old Lady Evans (who ate a penalty when she hid a bunch of illegals in a Controlled Atmosphere room... which are notable for not having oxygen) got arrested for this shit, it would end in 5-10 years.

The prices of apples and other fruit would triple.

I'm curious if you guys are experiencing the same thing I am, or if this is a more anecdotal experience for me.

...

I just wanna know if anyone else is experiencing this, because it seems like it's not an isolated incident even in my personal life.
Not alone, though I see the werewolves coming out mostly in online hobby/social groups, but unlike years prior, the hysterics are not being catered to or soothed by the group as a whole. Some groups are allowing, even encouraging, open arguments and others are enforcing a no politics rule across the board with that caveat that 'no one knows what is objectively right, so keep it to yourself and stay on topic or leave'.

I understand Trump ensuring ICE cleans out New Yorb because it's his home city, but could he skip
FaceBook is a barrage of Lefty posts these days. Got some family who repost the multiple, likely bot accounts that post vague messages about Trump bad. I feel like I have seen it all these past few weeks.

I have seen the messages about how he is a Nazi.

How the world should be like a Delta plane, everyone safe with no right-wing

DEI is not to take jobs from whites, but to make sure opportunities aren’t taken from women and minorities, typically with a Calvin and Hobbes panel.

How Trump is going to take away women’s rights to vote if they get married. Something about the last name being changed, IDK.

Vance meeting with some White Supremacist who coined the term “White Boy Summer,” and no it isn’t Tom Hanks‘ son.

The usual I want to spread love and kindness bull-shit posts.

Edit: Forgot the multitude of videos of Mexicans picking our crops, yet another gem.

It just keeps going. Feel like I need to delete FB as even outside of family, all the posts on my feed are anti-Trump. Most have to be bot accounts, as I will see the same image multiple times in a row from different profiles. Anyone seen those weird posts of anti-Trump messages on a billboard as the template, or some sign on a vehicle? Then there is the solid color background blanket message posts.
I find the kiwifarms to be an oasis of peace and sanity in comparison, I've been avoiding other social media at this time.

luckily there's all these unemployed and unskilled workers from the DC area that could come pick the apples.

I don't know where to put this, but I saw this whackadoodle conspiracy by leftoids today on social media.
A lesbian firefighter named Rebecca Marodi was stabbed to death in California and I saw some one post some insane takes over it basically blaming trump and another claiming retribution for DEI hires and the LA fires.

Well it turns out the wife is the prime suspect and she was once convicted of manslaughter and may have fled to Baja.

Leftists just have this complete disassociation from reality at this point. (I know not a new revelation) Q-annon makes more sense than blue-annon and that's something.

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson speaks on the Constitution at South Side church: 'No one is above the law'

The U.S. Supreme Court justice, making clear she was speaking in general terms, raised questions about President Donald Trump’s recent efforts to push the limits of his power.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson spoke about the importance of the Constitution and the protection of rights in remarks Wednesday night at a South Side Church.

“The Constitution is our founding creed,” Jackson said at the House of Hope Arena in Pullman, during an event hosted by Salem Baptist Church of Chicago to promote her new memoir, “Lovely One.”

“A free country, a democratic country, is one in which no one is above the law,” she said.

Though she made it clear she was speaking in general terms, Jackson’s comments were delivered against the backdrop of President Donald Trump’s recent efforts to push the limits of presidential power.

In the first weeks of his new administration, Trump signed a flurry of executive orders halting federal programs, freezing federal funding, overturning birthright citizenship and terminating some federal workers.

However, many of Trump’s proposals have been put on hold by federal judges as his opponents file lawsuits pushing back against his orders. Some observers have wondered what will happen if Trump attempts to ignore any court rulings, which some of his advisers have hinted he should do.

“He who saves his country does not violate any Law,” Trump said Saturday on his personal X account, suggesting the law does not apply to him. But Tuesday, Trump, who has been openly critical of the courts, said he would comply with court rulings on his policies. “I always abide by the courts,” he said.

Jackson, who is one of three liberals on the Supreme Court, didn’t comment on the possibility that any of the cases could wind up before her on appeal.

But she encouraged everyone in the audience to know their rights and stay informed about what’s happening in the government.

“The 14th Amendment in particular, which is the due process clause and the equal protection clause, [is] the amendment that guarantees that people are treated equally regardless of their skin color, or image, or anything else,” she said. “In a democracy, we need informed citizens who know what’s going on.”

Jackson was appointed as a Supreme Court Justice in 2022 by former President Joe Biden.

In her book, Jackson recounts her experience during the confirmation hearings and reflects on her journey to becoming the first Black woman on the nation’s highest court.

“I have such deep-seated self-confidence that comes from people around me, who have always told me I could accomplish anything,” Jackson said.

I didn't understand season 2 of True Detective well enough to make up a good snappy joke about it, but it's all I can think about whenever someone brings up the LA/SF high speed rail.

Okay, they’ve been wasting money saying that they’ve been trying to get it built for decades
Now you got it. They never intended to build it, they just wanted to snatch a bunch of prime agricultural real estate along the highway and pay a few people nice fat salaries.

My theory is that they were working up to throwing in the towel on the train, selling the land they'd gotten by eminent domain to real estate developers, and building some apartments or condos there. Real estate in that area has been sharply escalating in value in that area because it used to be much cheaper than the rest of California. It's also a trucking hub for local agriculture. There's quite a bit of oil out there too.
