TL;DW A techbro version of globohomo, where you will eat the bugs and live in the pod, but you will trade in crypto. Kill the United States, start some techno-feudalism, and ensure that your capital is still worth something after the US collapses for being so fucking gay.
This is an inaccurate TL;DW. The dark enlightenment techbros don't want people to live in pods and eat bugs.
Here is JD Vance mocking the idea of eating bugs:
JD Vance says ‘they want you to live in a pod, eat bugs and own nothing’ at bizarre North Carolina event—Independent.co.uk
The woman presenting the video is Joann Richards, friend of dick sucker Destiny. She is pro-globohomo and thinks Marc Cuban is the most reasonable techbro billionaire. If you listen to what she is criticizing, she opposes everything Trump is doing right now, because she thinks that is the bad future (total beaurocrat death). And she speculates a possible "scary future".
I like what Trump is doing. And I think the "scary future" is not actually that scary.
She correctly points out that Trump did not appoint very many Theil suggested people into Trump's first adminstration. Trump2.0's cabinet picks are not dark enlightenment techbro picks either. Elon is being allowed to oversee an audit that dismantles the deepstate. Big Balls and the Zoomer crew aren't being appointed to high positions of control. Trump2.0 is finding the "Ron Swansons" of the departments and empowering them.
JD Vance is a Machiavellian politician backed and groomed by Theil's techbro faction. JD Vance underperformed in his 2022 Ohio senate race (but still won). Another Theil acolyte, Blake Masters, also underperformed in 2022 and lost the Arizona senate race. Vivek Ramaswamy self-destructed on H1-Bs. Giving women the passport/tech bro ick is not a winning strategy.
The "scary future" doomed up in the video is a scenario where techbros run
Company Towns on the scale of Singapore. In the quotes she included in the video they mention residence is voluntary (
how Orwellian). The video also highlights techbros saying America is falling apart. That sentiment is not exclusive to techbros. The competency crisis was/is obvious to anyone not deluded or blind.
A techbro company town would appeal in similar ways to a gated community, walled holiday resort, and oil rig. They are a solution for safety, pleasure, and money in a low trust environment. Cryptocurrencies are also a solution to low trust.
A better solution is to have a high trust society.
Personally, I am not fond of Theil, Musk, or Vance. But, I am not fond of any billionaire or politician. I particularly dislike Curtis "dark elf... um... um" Yarvin (though, he is neither billionaire or politician).
Peter Theil and Elon Musk are Gen X that managed to seize some power during the Boomer controlled society. Their politics are libertarianism that gave way to disillusioned isolationism, fueled by escapist scifi dreams of finally being able to get away from the fucking Boomers. Their ideas for reform are still within a framework reacting to the ossified Boomer society. Their vision of the future does not inspire legions of supporters. They fail to imagine a future full of loving families, and deep down that is what people want. Also, Theil and Musk are rivals as much as allies.
xXxDarkGothicTechxXx isn't going to seize control of the US government. But they will help unfuck some of the mess the Boomers left over. There might be a "Bitcoin City" in El Salvador and maybe an autonomous "Doge City" on the US-Mexico border. They'll both pay tariffs to the United States of North America.
