Reminds me of the disaster reality show that was Kid Nation.
Long story short kids were in charge of their own Wild West town and a bunch of kids got sick because the kids in charge of cleaning plates and dishes and shit were just dipping them in bleach without rinsing them off.
It’s a wonder nobody died.

That's because the kids didn't have running water, as they were in an abandoned town in New Mexico. Allegedly they were under supervision by proffesionals the whole time, but I remember that a girl got a grease burn while she was cooking or something like that.
