"Current year" terms that piss you off

I hate seeing lowercase outside of chatrooms or texting. Also, it's weird how "LOL" and "LMAO" are used when someone is neither laughing out loud nor laughing their ass off.
I heard a mate of mine's brother, in high school, actually say lol. His older brother. I felt a waft of second-hand embarrassment for him, 'cos he managed to be a bigger nerd than he was, it was just understated due to the other lads he hung out with, and he was irritatingly sarcastic at times.

@Brain Power I'm gradually irritated to a minor degree, about the term, "ick", but shite like that is a big ick for me. And it bleeds into they/them pronouns. Well, I say it's a big ick, but I don't mind that much... Well, I WOULDN'T, but I have the gut feeling that dating most people who go by cisgender terminology, and refer to themselves as they and them, will insist that everyone goes by the same pronouns. It gives me the same level of, Oh-For-Fuck's-Sakeness as women who are called actors, as opposed to actress.

I've noticed that more and more Americans don't pronounce the letter 't' in a lot of words. A good example is in the word 'important', which they pronounce as 'impor'aaant' with an elongated final syllable.

I'm sure this kind of nonsense used to be limited to valley girls or black women or something but now I hear otherwise normal men doing it. I heard some dude say Mar'iiin the other day instead of Martin. Nauseating.

It's like the American version of the Bri'ish glottal stop.
Huh, I’ve always done that. Though it comes out more like “import’nt”. I also say anticlimactic kinda like “anticlimagtic” with a very soft g, just because it’s easier to say than “anti-cli-ma-KUH-TIC”.

The different between that and Br*tish speak is that one is shortening/simplifying a word for convenience while the other is adding extra silent letters for who the fuck knows why.

The term "safe-spaces."

Most of the time when someone uses the term "safe-space" it just means they want a place where you can't criticize them at all and want to ban you for hurting their feelings from 1 mean word that 9 times out of 10 they deserved to be called.

Some safe-spaces are okay like women wanting a space without troons but for the most part safe-spaces are just hugboxes that just lowers the iq of the people within it.

(Funny enough that A&N fits that)

Kind of going against the grain here and rather than attacking more woke terms, I'm going to attack something commonly associated with chuds: "slop". I'm actually getting sick of this term being used to apply to almost anything, and how it's seeped into the mainstream lexicon for normies. Originally /pol/tards used "goyslop" as a generic catch-all term for cheap foods of low nutritional quality, but then they began using it for almost literally any kind of foodstuffs whatsoever.

"Oh, you ate a Snickers bar? Muh goyslop."
"You drank a bottle of Gatorade? Muh goyslop."
"You got hungry on a long road trip and ate a roller grill hot dog from a gas station? Muh goyslop."

Then it became used to describe any sort of A.I.-generated content, be it image, video, or audio. Now I'm seeing people on Facebook and Reddit referring to anything of low value as "slop". Yes, Youtube and Facebook absolutely have an A.I. slop problem in that sense -- this is agreeable. But now I'm seeing people referring to anything they dislike on the internet as slop. For fuck's sake, people are calling MrBeast's content as slop -- which although I dislike the guy just much as the next Kiwi -- his content is definitively not slop by definition. MrBeast's content is actually extremely large budget with a huge team and studios behind it. It's not cheap, easily-made content by any stretch. His content is not A.I.-generated, it is not react content ala Moist Critikal, Hasan Piker, or Asmongold, and it is not regurgitated low-effort e-drama shit like Tipster, Bowblax, or countless Leafy clones. Those aforementioned examples can arguably be classified as slop, but I'm so sick of people criticizing MrBeast's videos as "slop". Yes, his videos are garbage and a cash grab, but they are not low-effort.

EDIT: I didn't see @Willie B. Hardigan 's post from a few pages ago. Oh well.
Let that sink in

There's no way you can convince me "pickme" isn't anything other than a conspired attack from radfems and troons to gaslight the 0.000001% of women left that still want to be tomboys without also becoming manhating dykes and/or chemically castrating themselves.
I completely agree. Its ironically become used towards women that think independently and don't go along with the popular narrative... aka align their views in order to be "picked" by their peers. Especially for the few who are actually willing to call out problems among women that the majority don't want to hear.

Literally have been called one before just for saying that women lying about SA is a real issue and not as unheard of as people think.

In my opinion, some "pickmes" do exist, like every other slang term. The problem is I think a pickme would be the type of woman who expresses views similar to men primarily to become the main center of attention of a group (usually nerds, outcasts) to which they can then manipulate however they want when their teeth have sinked in.
I do think a good example of pickmes are the whores "REAL trad aryan waifus" who were previously pixie dangerhairs.
It also tries to assume that a woman has to even have acceptable opinions in order to be picked by men. I've met enough men who were for all intents and purposes chuds, incels or nerds who still tripped over themselves in order to get a crumb or even accepting look from the most default archetype of a fat modern feminist.

But yeah just having opinions about women as a woman that aren't always favorable doesn't make you desperate for male attention, it just means you can't neglect reality properly.

"Press the B buh-in!"
"AINT NO WAY BLUD DID THAT"
"LIL BRO"
"GOOFY AAH"
I can pass off all the woke shit younger people have been forced to swallow but when they say shit like the above I have a really hard time caring.
These are all just literally nigger speak. Parents of white children need to start whooping their fucking kids when they start talking like niggers, do it before "speaking like" turns into "behaving like".

The "rawr xD" and leetspeak of the yore were as obnoxious, but at least had the decency to not be associated with hoodrat shit.

" let's unpack this"
" Problematic"
"Historically oppressed" code phrase meaning " niggers are above the law and the culture"
" That's racist" yeah and?
" Deep dive " it's not really a deep dive if you're just reading me the fuckin Wikipedia article or even worse a bunch of Reddit posts.
"Lore" It is a cool word but has been overused and made mundane.

Oh god, this one pisses me the fuck off because it makes no sense. I'm noticing this a lot more in Youtube comments where the original uploader has a weird look to their face, and a comment says something like "Bro a [insert famous person]-lookin aah." (e.g. "Bro a Steve Buscemi lookin aah").

And "iceberg". Suddenly, every subject under the sun has an "iceberg".
