Anna o' Brien / Glitter + Lazers / GlitterandLazers - Fat, drunk, consoomer attention whore who would rather eat and drink herself to death than endure a single negative emotion

There are apartment buildings right on Zilker, if that’s what she was after.

At the end of the day, the truth is, Anna lies, and not just to us, but to herself. She’ll say she’s moving to be close to the trails, but we all knew that was bullshit, whether she knew it or not. I don’t know what really motivated her to move there or to the 6G, I think it’s an awful idea for many reasons, but the top one for me is that it’s fucking Austin, TEXAS, why on earth would you move to a building that puts you even closer to the sun?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

It’s actually astounding to me that somebody would pay 7k+ a month for an apartment when she could be putting equity into a house.

Yeah, there are a lot of cool amenities and certain things (like the dog walking and boarding) that will make her life easier.

But she could find those things in a home too, including podcast stuff.

She had a house before and I know it wasn’t her thing but she bought a McMansion princess house with an HOA, instead of a one story ranch in a nice non-HOA neighborhood, which would have suited her better.

Anna does seem to pick up and move yearly though. Not sure why but maybe it’s as simple as ADD. I, too, thought she is hoping to meet Mr.Hallmark somewhere, with her new arms. She forgets the rest of her body and personality is attached.

I don’t know, people in NYC find apartments for less than 7k, seems like a huge expense for Texas, especially with no equity.

Data should like it though. Dog walkers and running daily.

That doesn’t look like a real luxury apartment building. It’s fake luxury where they throw in a few things pretending to be high-end amenities but really aren’t and gouge the residents. Everything looks cheap and like an overglorified office building.

As a EU fag, I cannot wrap my mind around the fact that there are smoke-free, huge-ass skyscrapers. Maybe I'm wrong but if the cigarette smoke from your neighbour permeates your bedroom and gets through the ACs it must mean that the building is built like absolute shite.

Back to Anna, 7k+ a month for rent is ludicrous. I know she's made bank in the past but that's an astounding amount of money, especially considering how she must be earning a lot less than before and the surgeries must have cost a fair amount.

That’s exactly it. True high-end complexes have excellent quality construction, full soundproofing, and outstanding ventilation. That’s the absolute baseline starting point for actual luxury community living. Your apartment is supposed to feel like you’re living in your own world/secret garden without any intrusion from neighbors. Pools, dog socials, and massage parlors are just fluff slapped on top of cheap construction to pretend it’s worth $7000/mo. (One of those penthouses go for $31,000/mo.)

Just like Anna found a quack doctor to throw her money away on, she found a quack apartment.

Edit: If you want to pretend you’re offering high quality services, maybe proofread your pages.

California made smoking in public and in public buildings illegal many years ago, and after the initial protests, most people seem to have quit. I haven’t seen a smoker in years, and we have one of the lowest smoking rates in the country, with only 6% of residents smokers.

I was against the law and voted no even as a non-smoker, but was happy when it was implemented, because cigarette smoke gives me migraines and now I never deal with that trigger.

Since weed was made legal though, now you can hardly take a walk without smelling it. :).

Just like when she was living downtown a few years ago she’s back on her single gal out and about on the town LARP. Of course she hated checking in with reception to get her packages and the hassle of going up and down the elevator every day. But she has forgotten all that and thinks she’s a skinny legend single and ready to mingle again.

In threads she mentioned if she should go to SXSW she is certainly of the mind that she’s going to be back out there like she was in NYC when she still had some mobility and social circles via work. But that’s all like gone, gorl.

Starting rent is $7394
That is 88,728 of your US dollars a year. that’s an astonishing amount of money. Yes I know yuropoor but a PRE tax wage of £70k puts you in the too 9% of earners in the uk. To have a POST tax wage of 70k you’d need to earn a bit under 110k which would put you around the top 1% of earners.
For a flat in a hive where you have to take the dog out to piss?? How much is she earning from YouTube?

They have "balcony grass" so you just let it go on your balcony and they provide services to clean it up.

People don’t realize how much sponsors pay influencers. Back in the day a brand would have to do a million dollar ad buy for TV then make the commercial themselves, hiring actors, costing hundreds of thousands. It’s worth them to pay a creator 50-100k to do it themselves with a script or outline, and they get more watch time.

Smart creators can really parlay this into a self-sustaining business and even create real wealth. It takes long-term thinking and an ability to delay gratification though.

Anna doesn’t seem to be doing anything to bring in new brands. Seems like she’s slowed down a lot on the shilling and only has Starbucks right now. But she must have enough to live like this still and it only takes a few high end brands to keep a person in luxury a few years.

Her Dad might have some money but she’s not a trust fund kid like CitationMax. She was just able to parlay her weirdness and fat at the right time for it. That time is ending, and it’d be a lot smarter for her to buy a house she can pay off and live-in for the inevitable fall-off. She could get a very nice house with payments half that and still put in a studio and hire dog walkers and come out ahead.

Unless shes somehow a multimillionaire tech bro (like her neighbors) I don’t know why she’s living like this.

edited to add:

I looked up what her Income to rent a $7,000 apartment might be-I imagine rental agencies sticks somewhat close to these 30% guidelines.

“To comfortably afford a $7,000 monthly rent, most financial experts would recommend a gross monthly income of around $23,333 based on the standard "30% rule," meaning you should spend no more than 30% of your income on rent, which calculates to roughly $7,000 on a $23,333 monthly income”

In the grand tradition of Anna making the stupidest decisions possible, she moves back into an apartment that's on like the 40th floor of a building because that makes perfect sense for a 600-pound gas giant who just got arm and calf surgery.
She’s a skinny bitch now, she has muscle definition in her arms. It’s definitely going to be different now.

What is "side kicking" in the context of dogs? I noticed they offer it for cats too.
