Wow, imagine having to report to a boss what you've done for the week or else get fired. If only regular Americans had to deal with similar things every single week of their working lives.

The obvious reason everyone hates federal employees, even apart from how they get their money, is that they don't have to deal with the stresses that everyday people do. Watching them have to suffer in the same trenches, worrying about capricious bosses dictating their future, worrying they could be laid off even though their families depend on them, it's funny. It's super funny.
The enmity goes farther down than that. Don't think people like government employees at ANY level. DMV much? City code inspectors much?

All too many of these people forget who they are working for and often act like despots. In many cases, government employees are well paid, better-paid than many in the areas they allegedly serve. In my town of less than 30,000, most city employees get six figures in compensation, salary/wages and benefits.

There are some government employees that earn their pay. But there are many who do not. Believe we need to have an ongoing scrub of governmental bodies at all levels to ensure we have just enough of the right people working. To the greatest extent possible, we should implement zero-based budgeting. And it shouldn't take forever and a day to hire or fire government employees. That sure doesn't happen in the private sector.

please ignore all of the times Biden went to the beach during his Presidency; ORANGE MAN BAD!
Doesn’t he literally use Mar-a-Lago as a Winter Whitehouse and just has foreign dignitaries meet there because DC has nothing to do? Like DC has museums and shit, but it’s not a real place and the people who work there aren’t people.

Palm Beach is somewhere you can go walk around without being jumped by lunchtime rowdies, you can go to a “massage parlor” without being worried about them being Chinese spies (avoid the ones Robert Kraft goes to), the food is priced better, and the weather doesn’t fucking suck.

I know the Japanese liked it because Trump just lets you use the golf course as much as you want it you meet him there. A lot more disarming then DC.

I live in a rural area and every government employee has been very pleasant (also white). that said, trying to get anything done in the VA has always been an absolute pain in the ass. Why we need to keep 3 different login systems is beyond me. and they cant verify me for shit.

We need to be serious...the President and Vice-President are on duty 24/7/365. They need to be able to handle anything that comes up, at any time, anywhere they are. That's why they don't go anywhere without communications people, and in the case of the President, the nuclear football.

That's why I pay no mind to where they spend a weekend or a week. These men know they can work from anywhere because the support staff goes with them.

This is what's so jarring for them: many are now realizing how easy they had it. Many already knew they had an easy gig and now the jig is up. Thousands of people realizing they now have to get real jobs that aren't protected by the same kind of government bloat they used to laugh and joke about in DC bars. They are the faceless, "just doing my job," "just following orders" pieces of the Leviathan, and - worst of all - they cannot complain that Trump is replacing them with toadies. Their positions are now redundant and once that pork spending is gone, Congress is loathe to give it back. The media would have us think differently, but the majority of Americans have nothing but derision for these do-nothing government assholes who get 6-figure salaries, government pensions, healthcare, and would struggle to justify their position to The Bobs.

Some of the best professional advice I can give to anyone here is to learn how to face down The Bobs. This is how most government workers are now reacting to DOGE:

This is how you want to react to The Bobs:

I forget if The Landing Strip is still across from PBIA

I get that the point of this reddit post was for them to fantasize about killing a 4 yo, but the gun sperg in me is compelled to point out that a foot of meat would have a dramatic effect on pretty much any of the 5.56 caliber rounds.
Those retards look at guns as metal wands from Harry Potter that kill anything they touch unless they go for a limb shot in which case it simply stuns their targets.
They thought that LITERAL, ACTUAL dictator Drumph should’ve just thrown federalism out the window, even when two weeks stopped being two weeks.
If it was up to them we would still be in 'two weeks to stop the spread'. The only reason we aren't is because of the Honkening in Canada.

Things like that are a consequence of slow digitalization done without a strong lead, and nobody ever wanting to put in effort to fix it.

One dept started to move to computers, then another, then another, and when you have 50, someone lazily shouts "please fix your shit", but doesn't actually take the lead.
At that point, you consolidate these 50 into maybe 10 systems, then they grow again, then they consolidate again, rinse and repeat.

A strong policy on tech and services would have saved so much money and time, but, until now, no presidency has ever given a shit about being efficient, or having a good system.

I do wunder what the mid-terms will be like if the Dems keep just refusing to face reality.

They are still sperging about woke shit even in the face of a massive defeat. They simply cannot bring themselves to admit they are wrong.

No! No, it is the people who are wrong! American voters are just pure misogynistic and racists and evil Natsee's! We must double, NO! Triple down on our woke policies to show them how wrong they are.

Yah...attacking the public for not voting for you is probably not the best tactic there guys. At this rate we might see a historic GoP sweep in the midterms. Imagine Trump with mass majorities in the House and Senate.

I feel bad for them. I think a lot of them had to go into obscene amounts of debt to get education to even work for the gov in a lot of instances. I don't celebrate people not being able to provide for their children or becoming homeless. I think people need to be wary to fall into the schadenfreude that feels so good sometimes. One thing though, im kinda indifferent to the fact they'll have to deal with the shock of the private sector. applying to 500 jobs and getting a few call backs, especially being a white male. they'll have to deal with the conditions the machine they contributed to created, and i think it'll be real sobering for a lot of them. though i don't necessarily think they'll be objective about the experience in general.

I don't feel bad for the lot of these motherfuckers one bit. Remember: These are the same bullshit artists that literally CHEERED when people were fired for having objections to getting the COVID shot. They're the ones that banned people over opinions. Nah. The lot of them can get shitkicked down the road and join society like the rest of us.

its a cult. they drank gallons of the koolaid to the point that progressive policies constitute the most deeply held beliefs they had. thinking "i could be wrong" requires intellectual honesty and objectivity. and wokescolds don't have either. they've been so used to being able to shut down dissidents for so long since they've wielded institutional power in many place. I think they'll keep digging in because they're fanatics, and not pragmatic at all.

i can understand that mindset. but having it personally brings me no joy. ive been in positions before where i had no clue where my meal would come from. no clue if id have a roof over my head. i am incredibly empathetic to a human in those circumstances, despite me thinking their ideology is generally evil.

if Trump makes DMV workers courteous and helpful we should make him the fucking emperor.

One of FDR's tricks was one the left internalized, and has used to wokeshitify corporations. (Maybe it was JFK? Think FDR.)

Infamously FDR was approached by a group of activists, that pitched some stupid leftist bullshit to him. Forget what they wanted, more communist bullshit. At the end of the meeting, he told them: "You bring forth a great idea, I want to implement this idea, I love this idea and want to do it. Now get out there and force me to do it."

The lesson is a person in a position of power has a significantly easier time doing what "the insane base" is "demanding" than spearheading things he wants to do on his own, even if he's acting as part of a collective movement.

The woke do this by, once they have a "community manager" position, ignoring or downplaying any criticism of wokeshit while amplifying the shit out of any woke complaints. A single Shaniqua Bixnood twitter account bitching that there aren't any 500 pound Lesbian Negros on staff? The team is going to hear nothing else for a month, and no posts supporting her will ever be deleted. A hundred backers who have spent thousands on the game already saying they don't like the new art direction? Deleted, Deleted, Banned for racism, thanks for the money, sucker.

Dare I say that Trump might have learned this trick in some fashion? He's pushing Elon to do things Elon (and Trump) wants to do. So now Elon has an excuse. "Sorry, I guess I HAVE to go harder, the boss wants it. Can't be helped!"
